Key Quest Beta just got updated again. You can now choose 2,3,4 or 5 key games. You might be tempted to play a 2 key game, but the prizes are less for a lower key game.

Keys you can win from the different games.

A 2 key game gives lead to the winner and nothing to second to fourth.
A 3 key game gives bronze to the winner, lead to second and nothing to third and fourth.
A 4 key game gives silver to the winner, bronze to second, lead to third and nothing to fourth.
A 5 key game gives gold to the winner, silver to second, bronze to third and lead to fourth.

Earlier this week we wrote about there being a new neoboard for Petpet Park. But then the neoboard was closed again. However, today Petpet Park was really released for use and the neoboard is back open.

Right now there is not all that much you can do at Petpet Park because not all it's features have been released yet. What you can do is the following: You can visit Weltrude's Toy Chest. This is a new daily that will give you a free item or neopoints every day. We have added this page to our Dailies page. Also there is a special weekly game that features the new petpets. This weeks game is Petpet Pair-Up, but we expect that Faerie's Follie will also show up there (see the SN news of July 29th).

There is also an About Petpet Park page which tells us that you will be able to choose from one of six new Petpet species, help train them through games, activities and challenges, customize them, and take them out to explore the park and meet friends. There is also a long list of neopets characters that feature in Petpet Park. As for now we will just have to wait and see.

Neopets has just released P3 Habitats Beta 2, with additional neocash items and hopefully a few bug fixes to.

So far we added the new items to our P3 guide and will continue adding information to it over the couple of days when we learn of new things.

You also have the option to decorate your P3 Habitat with a few Neocash scenery items.

A new board called Petpet Park was added to the Neoboards. The description is: Find out about the new Petpet Park, Petpets, and games. So far we don't know what Petpet Park will consist of.

Update: As of now the board is gone again, Oops! This is not a valid message board. Nice try however. hehe!

We have a lot of new graphics for you all to use. We have 2 new Shields (Buzzer and MSPP), a new Pet Lookup (Island), as well as a new Userlookup (Jazan)!

If you have one, or know one, please submit it to us through the Submit a Pet page. Yes, we will be checking all submitted pets before we enter them on the site, so don't bother submitting red aisha's or other pets that are clearly not Darigan Pteri's under 644 days old.

Well i finally stopped being a bum long enough to get a minor thing done for the site :o There is now an option on the Old to New Change page that allows you to see all the pets that can stay unconverted at once. Hopefully this will satisfy the needs of you curious people out there.

Because SunnyNeo wasn't around when the Altador Plot started, we never had a guide to finish it. But because the Altador Plot is an open plot (one that won't be closed) we decided that we really wanted to have a guide on it to help the new Neopians that have not yet done this plot. It took us quite a while to find a staff member who hadn't completed the plot yet and was able to make the guide for us (since doing it on a side account is not allowed). Now it's finally done! Our Altador Plot guide does not break any of the Neopets rules by giving away where your constellations are, so you don't have to worry about getting frozen. Instead we have created a nifty star mapper tool that will assist you in finding your coordinates yourself. Today I stumbled upon a board of a Neopian who didn't know how to make his image transparent. Immediately the thought came to mind to create an uber simple guide on how to do this, that doesn't even require you to buy or download any programs. Here it is: Transparant Images Tutorial - GIFworks!

Here at SunnyNeo we get a lot of questions about what you can and cannot do on side accounts. With the help of carrotopian's great guide that she has given to us we were able to make a great and very convenient overview of everything there is to know about Side Accounts.

As you can see on the Burger King Club website (scroll down to the bottom), the next promotion for kids meals will be, yes... Neopets! We have understood from people who have asked at local Burger King establishments that the Neopets meal toys will be arriving at August 24th September 1st. This promotion is most likely only in the United States and Canada. Burger King Europe normally has different promotions. There will be 12 different toys that you can also buy without actually purchasing a menu. So don't worry about excess calories on Neopets' behalf.

There has been some confusion as to when certain petpet avatars are available, so we've decided to personally research the mystery. 

One petpet is still ageing, but here are our results so far:

Faellie - It's Alive!
Visit the lookup of a pet with a 14+ days old Faellie attached to it (tested with both an unpainted Faellie and a Snow Faellie).

you can get two free school items by clicking on the backpack after you send your score. This only works once and you will get a Fuzzy Notebook and a Starry Folder.

The Neohomes 2.0 beta has now been released to the public by Neopets. You can get one here, your classic neohome will still be accessible and you can continue working on it. You can only pick ONCE where your new neohome will be located.

Also a Neohomes Superstore was released in which you can buy the basic neohome 2.0 items with neopoints. It has an unlimited stock of supplies, which means a set price to buy the items.

Many old neohome items you will be able to use in the new neohome, provided that they have the home icon on them. But as of now most of them dont work yet.

The NC Mall Neohome Grand Opening Sale is happening right now, you can buy Neohomes 2.0 at half price with neocash now.

Since many people have been asking, we've finally set a deadline for the graphics applications. Applications will close on Friday, August 15th. No applications will be accepted after 11:59:59PM NST Friday night. You've still got nearly two weeks, so no need to rush.

And again, please DO NOT send us an application that says "sorry, my portfolio isn't done yet". Don't submit your application until your portfolio is complete. We will not chase you down and keep tabs on when your portfolio will be finished.

It appears that Neopets once again has cookie grabbers on the site.  They are in user shops as well as on userlookups.

Some people have been pricing the items in their shop well below the average price, ensuring that plenty of people come to the shop, where the cookie grabber is located.

To keep your account secure, we advise you to do the following:

Go here, activate a PIN, and place it on all available areas of the site.  PIN numbers cannot be gained by a cookie grabber.

Place all items from your inventory into your Safety Deposit Box.  You cannot place a PIN on your inventory, but you can place one on your Box.

Change your email here, and not validate the change.  This will ensure that if your account is compromised, whoever gets in cannot change the email to which the account is assigned for 24 hours.

We also suggest that you withdraw all neopoints from your shop till, as they will be easy for someone wrongfully in your account to take, as the till does not have a PIN number assigned.

Also, it is recommended that you bank all neopoints, and then proceed to withdraw one neopoint from your bank fifteen times.  This locks you out of your bank, only allowing you to deposit neopoints.

And last, but by no means least, you should make sure that your password is not easy to guess.  You can change your password here.



Edit by _cattigan_: Be careful! It has been reported that people are getting multiple Neofriend Requests. Unless you know the person that has requested you, it is advised that you do not accept the request, or view the userlookup of the person that has requested you, in case they have a cookiegrabber on their userlookup.
