Altador Cup

Although the Altador Cup is over for a bit now, for those of you who like to afterparty, we've got something for you: some of the staff's Neopets dressed up for the AC.

Due to technical reasons, we have not been able to post a poll for the best entry like we did in the previous years, but we still want to show you what we came up with!

Haunted Woods has done it!  They are the first team to land a second win in the Altador Cup.  Congratulations, Haunted Woods!  Be sure to check out the Prize Shop to receive your trophy and your points to redeem prizes.


Here at SunnyNeo, our Staff Members were hard at work for not just their AC teams, but their SN Staff Tournament Teams.  Team Altachuck did manage to again take YYB from Team Super Heroes in week 4 like the previous week.  However Team Super Heroes ruled the side games every week, as well as won the first two weeks of YYB, landing them a first place victory.  Team Altachuck landed second place and fought honorably for their wins.  Team Pink Skulls and Team Super Awesome were neck and neck the whole time.  Team Pink Skulls managed to land third place just before Team Super Awesome in the final week, landing them the third place overall.  Team Super Awesome landed in the fourth and final place.   Four of our staff participating in this years Tournament achieved All Star.

The last day in the fourth round brackets has come and gone, leaving lasting results. We're getting down to the wire in Altador Cup IX! Your last chance to make a splash this year has arrived. Head on over to the colosseum to check out your new teams, or just scroll and read below. Here are the results from Day 23!

Alabriss Bracket

Team Krawk Island ties yet another round, taking Slushie Slinger and Shootout Showdown against Team Meridell, who fights their way to take Yooyuball and Make Some Noise. Team Lost Desert picks it back up with three wins in Yooyuball, Slushie Slinger and Shootout Showdown while Team Mystery Island snags Make Some Noise. Team Faerieland surprises everyone with a win in Slushie Slinger against Team Mystery Island, but fails to capture enough points in Yooyuball, Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown, which goes to our Tombola friends.

Minitheus Bracket

Team Haunted Woods practically demolishes Team Moltara, leaving them only one win Slushie Slinger by a landslide. Ouch. Team Virtupets, on the other hand, was nowhere near spooked out by Team Kreludor, sweeping them in yesterday's games. Team Tyrannia also sees similar results, taking out Team Altador by huge margins. Maybe next year will hold better luck for the colosseum natives!

Vaeolus Bracket

Taking the last sweep of the fourth bracket, Team Maraqua nails it in their round against Team Kiko Lake. Team Roo Island also does fantastic, taking three wins in Yooyuball, Make Some Noise and Slushie Slinger against Team Shenkuu, who gains Shootout Showdown. Guess that yellow chia was on their side! Rounding out this report is Team Darigan Citadel, who also takes three wins in Yooyuball, Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise. Does good luck come in threes? Maybe not for Team Brightvale, who only takes one win in Shootout Showdown. One is always better than zero!

Day 24 was a "bye" day, meaning there were no results to show. However - NEW BRACKETS! *squeal* So shiny. Check them out!

Aww, what a nice day in the Altador Cup IX! The trees are swaying, springabees are buzzing and the yooyus are banding together in revolt. Wait - what? Time to get that referee back out here.. It's getting close to the end of this years' games, and the teams are becoming quite fierce. Let's see some results up on this lawn!

Team Krawk Island takes two surprising draws against Team Terror Mountain in Yooyuball and Make Some Noise, while winning Slushie Slinger and Shootout Showdown. Hmm, do I sense a small comeback in the midst, spurred by the snowager? BRING ON THE ICE! Team Faerieland takes their seventh win of the season in Make Some Noise along with a draw in Slushie Slinger. Great luck doesn't get you very far in this game though, because Team Lost Desert still gains Yooyuball and Shootout Showdown. Team Mystery Island adds another sweep to their season, taking all games against Team Meridell. Did someone fall off their horse?!

Minitheus Bracket

Team Moltara is still as fiery as ever, taking another sweep. Try not to get too burned when playing this team! Maybe some aloe vera will help.. While it's not too difficult to take out Team Altador, it is an achievement to score a 15 in Make Some Noise. Team Haunted Woods also rallies in the scores, knocking Team Kreludor down a few pegs with a sweep. Also going down the winners track, Team Virtupets takes three wins in Slushie Slinger, Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown against Team Tyrannia, who wins Yooyuball.

Put your mind to something and you shall prevail! Team Maraqua drowns while Team Darigan rises above, taking out our watery friends. Team Kiko Lake takes two wins in Yooyuball and Shootout Showdwn drawing against competitors Team Roo Island who won Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise. Draws all around! Team Brightvale captures Yooyuball and Shootout Showdown while Team Shenkuu takes Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise. Handshakes? Handshakes.

Here's an update on our SN Staff Tournament. Team Super Heroes is on fire taking a win all three weeks.  However, this week Team Altachuck did manage to at least break Team Super Heroes all game sweeps and took yooyu ball from them.  Not enough to take their #1 place, but great effort.  Team Altachuck holds strong to their second place, and hope to take the fourth week.  Team Pink Skulls and Team Super Awesome struggle to take their hold in the games.  Week one the two teams tied.  Week two Team Pink Skulls took third place while Team Super Awesome took fourth.  However, week three, Team Super Awesome managed to show their hard work and landed third over Pink Skulls in fourth.

What will week 4 results show?  Will Team Altachuck take first from Team Super Heroes?  Who will outdo the other between Team Pink Skulls and Team Super Awesome?

Six sweeps and three almost-sweeps come at day 21! Where did all these brooms come from?? Although Altador Cup IX is starting to wind down, our teams surely are not. No giving up until the Make Some Noise fans stop screaming!

Three wins and a draw in Yooyuball go to Team Krawk Island, almost sweeping out sandy Team Lost Desert. Hmm, maybe you should've asked Coltzan to make your pet stronger for the Altador Cup! With unsurprising results, the last and the first place teams of this bracket fared off, with Meridell taking a sweep over Team Faerieland. Team Mystery Island also takes a sweep, crushing Team Terror Mountain.

Minitheus Bracket

Team Moltara takes a sweep against Team Kreludor, taking pretty high margins over them. Seems they're trying to save their scores after yesterday's awkward duel with Tyrannia! Team Virtupets easily walked all over Team Altador, hovering over the competition. A surprising result comes in the last round with Team Tyrannia drawing against Team Haunted Woods in Yooyuball, while Haunted Woods takes Slushie Slinger, Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown. Haunted Woods has only drawn three games this entire season.

Vaeolus Bracket

Team Roo Island bounces back with three wins in Slushie Slinger, Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown while drawing Yooyuball with Team Maraqua. Almost! Team Darigan Citadel gains their sixth sweep of this season, taking out Team Shenkuu. Last but definitely not least, Team Kiko Lake surely hit obstacles swimming their way across the lake to get to the colosseum, but Team Brightvale does not seem to be one of them! Hitting the books instead of the yooyus, Brightvale gets sweeped by Kiko Lake.

An image of a strange, new, feral looking Yooyu has been found. It looks like the Tyrannian Yooyu will be an upcoming prizehop prize.

It's heating up in Altador Cup IX against the top three teams, with the second day in the fourth bracket coming to a close. The janitor must be getting really tired of cleaning up after you fierce competitors.. We'll definitely be hearing him complaining about this for the rest of the year! But I won't bother you with that right this minute - let's hear those results for Day 20!

Yarr! After a devastating sweep, Team Krawk Island comes out on top with one of their own, taking out Team Faerieland. For the second day in a row Team Mystery Island takes a sweep, this time against Team Lost Desert. Team Meridell continues to joust around, sweeping Team Terror Mountain. The snowager must be so angry right now - better not go visit him! He might just blast you more than their team can right now.

Team Tyrannia takes two wins today in Yooyuball and Shootout Showdown, drawing Slushie Slinger with Team Moltara, who takes Make Some Noise. Keep on eating that omelette! Unfortunately for Team Altador, Team Kreludor comes out on top today, sweeping out the sun-filled colosseum lovers. For only the second time this season, Team Haunted Woods comes home with a draw against Team Virtupets in Yooyuball, along with three other wins in Slushie Slinger, Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown.

It seems Team Maraqua swam pretty close to the top, taking three wins in Slushie Slinger Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown while their opponents Team Brightvale only takes one win in Yooyuball. Time to learn a thing or two about the other games, eh? Team Darigan Citadel wins a significant amount more than they have been lately, taking Yooyuball, Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown while Team Roo Island gets kicked down a couple notches, only winning Slushie Slinger. Team Shenkuu gains a few more victories, adding Slushie Slinger, Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown to their list, while Team Kiko Lake takes one win in Yooyuball.

Team Mystery Island is a wake up call for Team Krawk Island, who loses every game against the famous Tiki Tack Tombola fans. Sweep on! Back on their high horses once again, Team Meridell takes three wins in Slushie Slinger, Make Some Noise and Slushie Slinger while Team Lost Desert wins Yooyuball. Team Terror Mountain wins Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown against Team Faerieland, who takes two surprising draws in Yooyubal and Slushie Slinger.

Minitheus Bracket

Our low-gravity friends Team Virtupets takes a huge victory with two wins in Yooyuball and Shootout Showdown while drawing Slushie Slinger with Team Moltara, who redeems themselves with one win in Make Some Noise. Team Tyrannia sweeps Team Kreludor - it must be the omelette again! Team Haunted Woods is still hanging out on top, taking a not-so surprising sweep against Team Altador.

It seems Team Maraqua has officially fallen dramatically this season with only one win in Yooyuball, giving the other three to Team Shenkuu in Slushie Slinger, Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown. The blumaroos are bouncing high today, with Yooyuball, Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise wins, while Team Brightvale takes Shootout Showdown. Team Darigan Citadel racks up points in Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise, with a draw in Yooyuball. Along with the draw, Team Kiko Lake also takes a win against the purple and black team in Shootout Showdown.

It seems those darn meepits hijacked my computer yesterday! I knew they would get me sooner or later.. Anyways, here's the update from Day 17 as well as 18. The match-ups weren't so even this time around! Actually something to report, whaaaatt?? Madness. Absolute madness.

Day 17:

Alabriss Bracket

Team Haunted Woods takes another sweep, one of only three this round. Team Roo Island was the lucky contender of today, bouncing back on slightly broken springs. Currently Haunted Woods are 3 points ahead of second place, and nine points ahead of third. Can't touch that, NANANANA! Team Tyrannia also takes a sweep, leaving Team Meridell gasping for breathe in their stampede. *meep* Maybe they're running from the Meepits?! I know I am. Team Faerieland takes some surprising wins today in Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise against Team Maraqua, who only scores Yooyuball and Shootout Showdown.

Minitheus Bracket

The pirates are back at it again! Three wins for Team Krawk Island in Yooyuball, Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown while Team Altador comes back for air with another win in Slushie Slinger. They must really like processed sugar - OR have a strategy! The next two teams come to an exhausting draw, each taking two wins. With Yooyuball and Shootout Showdown added to their collection, Kiko Lake played on inner tubes and forgot all about Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise, which went to Team Lost Desert. Team Virtupets loses a supring game against Team Brightvale, who takes Slushie Slinger. However, the currently second place powerhouse team still kept it up, with wins in the other three games.

The last sweep of the day / this bracket goes to Team Moltara, who once again shows that with fire you can do anything. Except survive internally. You might just need water for that.. Unfortunately that means Team Mystery Island lost all games, oops. It's alright - just blame the meepits. *glares at meepits* Team Terror Mountain takes two wins in Yooyuball and Slushie Slinger while Team Shenkuu takes up screaming as a side hobby, winning Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown. Team Kreludor doesn't get away with a sweep, only gaining three wins in Yooyuball, Slushie Slinger and Shootout Showdown while Team Darigan Citadel yells to victory in Make Some Noise.

Wednesday (Day 17) was the last day of the third bracket, meaning we received all new brackets last night. I hope you enjoyed your "bye" day yesterday! Wondering who's in your new bracket? Look no further!

Alabriss Bracket: Meridell, Krawk Island, Mystery Island, Lost Desert, Terror Mountain and Faerieland.

Almost an entire day of sweeps! What? You guys sure kicked it up out there! Seven out of nine rounds came into contact with a broom, making me wonder who played rock - paper - yooyuball.  Did we all agree to sweep today, or is this just coincidence? I'm going for the conspiracy theory myself.

In a not so suprising round, Team Haunted Woods won all games against Team Faerieland. They sure got beat up out there! Team Tyrannia almost takes out Team Roo Island, stealing wins in Yooyuball, Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown while our blumaroos hop to victory in the Slushie Slinger round. Mmm, fake flavors, give me more! Team Meridell gets on their high horses, scoring a solid sweep against Team Maraqua.

Minitheus Bracket

Team Virtupets left our poor pirates screaming about stolen gold with wins in everything. Sorry Krawk Island! Just have to kick the motivation up a bit - stop worrying about the treasure. (NEVER!) Team Kiko Lake kills Team Altador's streak of Slushie Slinger wins, taking a sweep against our sunny friends. Maybe tomorrow they'll get back on track! Team Brightvale scores three wins in Yooyuball, Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown while Team Lost Desert takes Slushie Slinger. When in doubt, play with slushies!

This entire bracket sweeped out their closets, starting with Team Mystery Island taking out Darigan Citadel. Time to amp up the scare tactics! Team Moltara scorched the competition, making me wonder how many more fire puns I can come up with before the Altador Cup ends. Sorry Team Terror Mountain, fire DOES still light up in the mountains. Can't keep this flame out! Team Kreludor takes a solid victory overall, smashing Team Shenkuu to the ground. As much as I love grass - it's itchy! Get back out there!!

Team Haunted Woods absolutely kills Team Faerieland today, sweeping them all around. Seems someone got spooked! Team Roo Island almost comes out of day 15 with a sweep, taking wins in Slushie Slinger, Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown but drawing Yooyuball with Team Maraqua. The blumaroos are bouncing everywhere. Team Tyrannia kicked up the team spirit, taking three wins in Yooyuball, Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise while our honorable knights on Team Meridell stole a win in Shootout Showdown.

Minitheus Bracket

Team Altador comes away with yet another surprising win in Slushie Slinger for the third day in a row, this time against Team Krawk Island. However our favorite sunny colosseum lovers cannot hold it together long enough, giving wins in Yooyuball, Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown to the pirates. Yarr, dang scallywags. Another team holding it together quite well right now is Team Brightvale, who takes wins in Yooyuball, Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise while drawing Shootout Showdown with Team Kiko Lake. Team Virtupets adds yet another sweep to their collection, taking out Team Lost Desert. Did they spend too much time at Coltzan's Shrine??

Let's enjoy a nice picnic while we review the triumph of Team Mystery Island, shall we? Two wins in Yooyuball and Slushie Slinger, one draw in Make Some Noise and an unfortunate loss to Team Darigan Citadel in Shootout Showdown. Maybe less time for picnics, more time for dancing yellow chias? Just a suggestion! Team Moltara takes the third, and last, sweep for this round against Team Kreludor. Excuse me while I extinguish the flames! Team Terror Mountain ups their gameplay, taking out Team Shenkuu in Yooyuball, Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown. However, we didn't see Shenkuu just collapse underneath an avalanche, because they still won Slushie Slinger. You'd think slushies would be Terror Mountains' game of choice!

Team Haunted Woods keeps it casual, sweeping out Team Maraqua with high margins. Just another day at the office job, right HW? Try not to be seafood next time Maraqua! Team Tyrannia also tramples the competition, taking out Team Faerieland with a sweep. And lastly in this bracket we saw a TIE, with Yooyuball and Shootout Showdown going to Team Meridell while Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise went to Team Roo Island. Shake hands and call it a day! Or just kick your opponent and pretend you won. *places crown on head*

Minitheus Bracket

Unfortunately for Team Krawk Island it's becoming more common for them to hear the words "sweeped", this time coming from Team Kiko Lake. Too busy plundering for gold? (Me too - yarr!) Team Altador finally gets some wins on the board, taking both Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise while Team Brightvale kills it at Yooyuball and Shootout Showdown. Team Virtupets floated down from their fortress yesterday just to shove Team Lost Desert aside, and taking all games for themselves. Can you say sweeped?

Team Kreludor came out victorious yesterday, with wins in Yooyuball, Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown. However, Team Mystery Island was able to secure a draw in Slushie Slinger. Where's my snowcone?! Team Terror Mountain took one win yesterday in Slushie Slinger, however Yooyuball, Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown all went to Team Darigan Citadel. Seems Lord Darigan has finally seen the light (or dark)! Unsurpringly the last sweep of the day goes to none other than Team Moltara, killing all of Team Shenkuu's hopes and dreams. It's okay thought, a snowcone tastes quite similar to those!


Erm, okay, maybe don't take evil Mr. Coconut's advice and go to bed quite yet.. I suggest you get out there and play! Specificially Make Some Noise, which has bonus points on it. See you all tomorrow!

We're getting back in to the sweep of things, with Day 13 being nothing short of interesting. Altador Cup IX sure knows how to bring the heat! Now let's stop wondering who did what in these new brackets and start reviewing!

Team Haunted Woods once again demolished the competition, looking to be this years' team to beat. Team Meridell just couldn't get away with anything, taking no wins today. Hopefully tomorrow! This bracket only saw sweeps, with the second one going to Team Tyrannia over Team Maraqua. "Just keep swimming" can't be a motto guys - you have to play Yooyuball instead! Our third and last sweep goes to Team Roo Island, who not surprisingly sweeps Team Faerieland.

We finally see Team Krawk Island somewhere.. well, closer, to the top in Day 13, with two wins in Slushie Slinger and Shootout Showdown. However, we're going to call this one a draw, because Team Brightvale takes the other two wins in Yooyuball and Make Some Noise. Team Virtupets does a decent job of knocking Team Kiko Lake down a few pegs, with wins in everything except Shootout Showdown, which was a draw. So close! Team Altador surprises everyone with a win in Slushie Slinger, making this their first win this entire season. Never too late to join the game, eh? However Team Lost Desert still takes the rest, with wins in Yooyuball, Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown.

Team Mystery Island fights their way to victory, with wins in Yooyuball, Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise! Seems like Shenkuu decided to play today though, taking Shootout Showdown for themselves against the dancing islanders. Team Kreludor continues to be a force to reckon with, taking a sweep against Team Terror Mountain, who is not chalking up to be everything but terrifying this year. Hmpfh. Team Moltara blazes their way to victory once again, with yet another sweep in Day 13. The unfortunate victim is none other than Team Darigan Citadel.

Now get out there and go scramble your enemies! Or have a sing along while you all multitask and play Shootout Showdown. I don't really care - just get some progress made. It isn't over until we're saying our goodbyes!

I think it's time for Team Krawk Island to get angry like our little meepit acquaintance on this cup over here, because for the second day in a row they were sweeped. What?! Team Darigan Citadel must've kicked their playing into overdrive. Team Lost Desert fares decently well against Team Tyrannia, unwilling to be swept with one win in Yooyuball. Our rocky friends take wins in Slushie Slinger, Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown, proving that no matter what, so long as you eat your omelette you'll come out on top. Unless you get attacked by meepits. Who knows where you'll end up then? No one was suprised when Team Haunted woods swept Team Shenkuu yesterday, with massively high margins. Still, they're not as spooky as a meepit!

Minitheus Bracket

Team Moltara ripped Team Brightvale to shreds yesterday, taking a dominating sweep. Would you like a broom next time, Moltara? They must've partnered with the meepits.. Team Kreludor also takes another solid sweep, this time against Team Meridell. Guess our knights just weren't willing to dive into the games yesterday! Team Faerieland also met the same fate, being swept away by Team Kiko Lake. Don't hide under the rug next time! Even though that is a very nice rug. Who wouldn't want to sneak away under there??

Vaeolus Bracket

Team Virtupets shoved Team Roo Island back on to their boats, sailing them away with a sweep. *meep* Maybe they wore meepit eyeshadow.. that's pretty freightening! Team Altador loses once again, with all four games going to Team Mystery Island. Tombola was sighted once again this year at the sidelines dancing - what a sight! If that doesn't distract the competition from winning I don't know what will. Except, well, er - meepits. Team Terror Mountain takes a slight lead with wins in Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise alongside a draw in Yooyuball. Team Mystery Island didn't swim away empty handed, though! They won Shootout Showdown, my favorite game.

One of the most surprising and disappointing losses of the day comes to Team Krawk Island, who was sweeped by Team Tyrannia. It must be that free omelette. Team Shenkuu takes two wins in Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise along with a draw in Shootout Showdown while their opponents, Team Lost Desert, wins Yooyuball. And last but definitely not least in this bracket comes Team Haunted Woods, who once again tucks another sweep under their belt. Unfortunately for Team Darigan Citadel, the unlucky competitor was them. Sorry guys, maybe tomorrow!

Team Moltara lights a fire underneath this competition once again, still vying for that top spot! Looks like they're on the right path, with a sweep against Team Faerieland. Riding high is Team Kreludor, with three wins in Slushie Slinger, Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown. Team Brightvale read up on the history of Yooyuball just to win it! Seems like we should all read a little bit more. Team Kiko Lake takes Yooyuball and Slushie Slinger while drawing Shootout Showdown with Team Meridell. Our favorite knights take Make Some Noise. Hurrah!

Team Maraqua finally catches some waves, riding high over Team Altador with a clean sweep. Victory tastes a lot like water (or apples - yum)! A solid draw comes to Team Roo Island, with wins in Yooyuball and Slushie Slinger while opponents Team Terror Mountain takes Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown. Zero gravity really comes in handy when playing with yooyus apparently, because Team Virtupets takes yet another sweep, obliterating Team Mystery Island. You know what they say - an apple a day keeps Virtupets away. Well, I guess not when you're bracket mates with them!

Day 9 in Altador Cup IX brings nothing but excitement, with six sweeps for the day! The slushies are melting with excitement and the yooyus are singing. What's that? The results are up?? Why didn't anyone tell me!? Let's GO.

It seems Team Shenkuu got a little lost on their way to the colosseum, with Team Darigan Citadel sweeping them. It's must be nice to live that high up! Team Haunted Woods screams the same victory chorus, sweeping Team Tyrannia. We all know who isn't getting free omelette this week! Team Krawk Island sings their own pirate song, with three wins in Slushie Slinger, Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown. Team Lost Desert doesn't go empty handed though, with one win in Yooyuball.

This set is on fire! Team Moltara, I mean. Yet another sweep goes to this fiery squad, this time against Team Brightvale. Our favorite pink and green team can't seem to get their yooyus together, with Team Meridell taking all games. Poor Team Faerieland! Maybe tomorrow? Team Kiko Lake takes one win in Yooyuball, but the overall winner is Team Kreludor, who smashed out games in Slushie Slinger, Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown.

The blumaroos are back at it again! Three wins for Team Roo Island in Yooyuball, Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise alongside a draw with Team Maraqua in Shootout Showdown. Bounce on! Team Virtupets threw those yooyuballs so hard they exploded on Team Altador, resulting in a sweep. Oopsy daisy. It's all fun and games in Team Mystery Island, who takes the sixth and last sweep for this round against Team Terror Mountain. Hmph, someone's stuck in that attic again..

It's that time again! Also known as midnight game results. A surprising lack of sweeps, only three, happened on Day 8 of Altador Cup IX. Seems almost everyone is kicking up their game! Keep on scoring those fiery yooyuballs, teams.

Screaming to victory, Team Krawk Island takes three wins in Yooyuball, Slushie Slinger and Shootout Showdown. Team Shenkuu showed some bite yesterday, winning Make Some Noise. Team Haunted woods got one of the three sweeps, beating out Team Lost Desert. Almost taking a sweep, Team Tyrannia wins all three games, exept for Make Some Noise, in which they drew with Team Darigan Citadel.

Team Moltara lost a little stride, losing Yooyuball to Team Kiko Lake, but winning Slushie Slinger, Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown. Team Kreludor also almost takes sweep, drawing Slushie Slinger with Team Faerieland, and taking Yooyuball, Make Some Noise and Slushie Slinger. We're seeing a lot of almost sweeps! Which also happens to be the case for Team Meridell, who tied Yooyuball with Team Brightvale, and won Slushie Slinger, Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown.

Winning Slushie Slinger and Shootout Showdown, Team Maraqua ties with Team Mystery Island, who takes Yooyuball and Make Some Noise. Team Altador just can't seem to get it together, losing all games to Team Roo Island. The blumaroos came to play yesterday! Team Virtupets takes the third and last sweep of Day 8, leaving Terror Mountain in the dust.

We're a week in to Altador Cup IX, with the first results of the second bracket in! A lot of hard battles were fought and won yesterday in Day 7. Wondering who beat who? Look no further! It sure didn't come with a lot of peace offerings - like cupcakes.

Team Haunted Woods kept the wins coming, sweeping Team Krawk Island by a long mile. Team Darigan Citadel gave everything they had, taking all games against Team Lost Desert. Falling asleep in the sand again? That won't get you very far! Team Tyrannia managed to sweep Team Shenkuu, beating them by one point in each game.

Minitheus Bracket

Finally acknowledging the competition, Team Brightvale swept the wings off of Team Faerieland. Kreludor slipped drastically in this new bracket, only winning Slushie Slinger against Team Kiko Lake, who takes Yooyuball, Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise. Moltara continues to be a burning sensation in this years' games taking all games against Team Meridell.

Vaeolus Bracket

It's snowing in the Vaeolus bracket! Oh - wait, that's Team Terror Mountain sweeping out Team Altador. The sun doesn't shine during a snowstorm! Team Virtupets takes the last sweep of Day 7, this time against Team Maraqua. You're never too old to learn how to swim! Team Roo Island finally fought back, drawing in Yooyuball and winning Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise, successfully wining this first round of games! Those blumaroos weren't able to stop Team Mystery Island from taking one win though, which was Shootout Showdown.

Our Staff Tournament Week 1 results are posted!  Team Super Heroes used their Super Powers and pulled off a complete 1st place sweep on all four Altador Cup games.  The other three teams average rank for all four games ended up being a tie.  To break it, we looked at games played.  Team Altachuck played a few more games to take the 2nd place.  Team Pink Skulls and Team Super Awesome held on to their tie and are together in 3rd place.

For our AC Customisation Spotlight, there are a few entries we have none for.  We're still accepting all, but to have winners for each team for NP only and NC Included, we need entries.  So, we need NP Only entries for: Brightvale, Darigan Citadel, Faerieland, Haunted Woods, Kiko Lake, Meridell, Moltara, Mystery Island, Shenkuu, Terror Mountain, and Virtupets.  All other teams we have at least one entry for NP Only and NC Included, but are looking to view more.  You can Submit Your Pets* up until June 26th, and we will announce the winners on June 30th.

Day 5 in Altador Cup IX is the end of the first round matches, making today our first "bye" day! What this means is that you will play against a practice team, and none of your scores will count towards your team. The good news is that all your games will count towards your own personal rank and prize points for the end of the game. Play on!

If you consider Team Moltara's scores for these past five day, Team Krawk Island faired considerably well, taking a draw in Yooyuball. The fire lives on in Moltara, showing no signs of flaming out anytime soon, winning Slushie Slinger, Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown. Team Lost Desert comes out of Day 5 with two wins in Yooyuball and Shootout Showdown alongside a draw in Make Some Noise. Team Roo Island finally showed up, gaining their first win of the season in Slushie Slinger. In a smashing victory, Team Kreludor gets the last sweep for this bracket against Team Maraqua. Hopefully we see a little bit more from Maraqua next round!

Minitheus Bracket

Can't stop, won't stop! Team Darigan Citadel takes it second sweep of this competition season, crushing Team Altador to the ground. Not again. Hopefully Altador and Team Faerieland use this bye day to actually practice. Speaking of Faerieland, Team Virtupets takes its' fifth sweep in a row, this time the unfortunate victims being our lovely friends up high. Last but not least, this bracket finally saw quite a fair fight in the matchup of Team Shenkuu vs. Team Meridell. Taking two wins in Yooyuball and Shootout Showdown along with a draw in Make Some Noise secured Meridell the overall win, with Shenkuu taking Slushie Slinger. However, all scores were almost even.

Another team making their way up the ladder pretty quick is Team Haunted Woods, who just secured their fourth sweep in a row. Team Terror Mountain just can't seem to find that old spirit anymore, with only one win in this competition so far. Team Tyrannia takes Slushie Slinger, Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown against Team Kiko Lake, who takes the last win, Yooyuball. Team Brightvale almost sweeps Team Mystery Island, drawing only in Yooyuball and winning the rest.

Team Krawk Island almost sweeps Team Roo Island, drawing only Slushie Slinger. So close pirates! Time to stop plundering for draws and pull out those wins. Team Kreludor also found the same luck, winning Slushie Slinger, Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown and drawing with Team Lost Desert in Yooyuball. Team Moltara holds on to their dominating lead, even after being questioned by reporters about the validity of their quickened rise, sweeping Team Maraqua with huge margins.

For the third day in a row, we saw sweeps all across this entire bracket. Team Virtupets easily out played Team Meridell, almost doubling all of their scores in every game. Team Shenkuu was able to secure their third sweep, this time against Team Altador, however all three have been against Altador and Faerieland. Team Darigan Citadel was finally able to bring some wins home, sweeping Team Faerieland.

Team Haunted Woods killed it on Day 4, sweeping Team Brightvale for the second day in a row. While Brightvale's scores stayed consistent (and generally low), Haunted Woods kicked their playing into overdrive. Stay motivated! Team Tyrannia takes the last sweep of the day, letting Team Terror Mountain have a snow day. I think they just forgot to show up - too many snowmen to play with! Team Kiko Lake fared quite well against Team Mystery Island, winning Slushie Slinger, Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown, only drawing Yooyuball.

Krawk Island yelled victory all over Team Roo Island, sweeping them back to their rounded huts. Seems like Team Krawk Island decided to bring back their old fire in this round, keep it up pirates! Team Maraqua decided to kick up their stats as well, winning both Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown while tying with Team Lost Desert in Yooyuball and Slushie Slinger. Team Moltara wins Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise along with a draw in Yooyuball. Team Kreludor barely comes out with a win in Shootout Showdown.

For the second day in a row, the Minitheus bracket saw three all-over sweeps. Team Darigan Citadel is really slipping in efforts, getting sweeped by Team Virtupets again. Team Meridell gains their second sweep this round, forcing Team Faerieland into the ground. Looks like someone accidentally forgot their wings at home! Team Altador gets sweeped for the third time in this bracket by Team Shenkuu.

Team Haunted Woods is power-housing their way through this competition, gaining their second sweep in this bracket against Team Brightvale. Looks like the late nights in the woods were worth it! Team Mystery Island gains three wins on their side, taking Yooyuball, Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown. Hey, watch out! The snowballs are coming! Oh, wait, that's just Team Mystery Island, who won Slushie Slinger yesterday. Can I have a snowcone? Team Kiko Lake slips just a little bit, only winning Make Some Noise against Team Tyrannia, who took Yooyuball, Slushie Slinger and Shootout Showdown.

Welcome back sunny folks! It's a nice day out here at the Altador Cup IX, especially for us reporters. I love getting slushies flung at my face, it's a refreshing moment. We've seen some exciting victories already in Day 2, including many sweeps! Spilled drinks, screaming fans, jiggling yellow chia fans and of course bruised yooyus are ensuing the city of Altador. Wait - I thought I told you not to hurt my yooyus?! Maybe I'll have to get that referree back in here.. *grumbles* Anywhoo, on to the results!

Alabriss Bracket

It's déjà vu Day 2 for Team Krawk Island, who draws both Yooyuball and Shootout Showdown - hopefully this doesn't become a habit! On the flip side of that game, Team Kreludor schools those pirates, winning both Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise. Contrary to popular belief, Team Lost Desert doesn't make sand castles all day during Altador Cup IX - just part of the day! They definitely make up for their sandy habits by winning both Yooyuball and Slushie Slinger alongside a draw in Make Some Noise, with their opponents Team Maraqua taking Shootout Showdown. Team Moltara blazed through the competition once again, sweeping Team Roo Island in the process. Collateral damage, I'm sure.

This bracket sure fired up the competition, with an astounding three sweeps this early in competition! Team Virtupets wasn't afraid of heights yesterday, braving Team Darigan Citadel head-on and coming out with a victory. Don't celebrate quite yet, though - there's a long competition in front of us! Hopping back on the winners' bandwagon, Team Shenkuu decided it was time for Team Faerieland to go on home back to Fyora. Maybe tomorrow, faeries. Maybe. Even Team Altador doesn't gain any upper hand in the competition, losing all four games to Team Meridell. Watch out for those jousting tournaments!

Similar all over success was found yesterday, with Team Haunted Woods taking no prisoners in these woods. They were able to sweep Team Mystery Island, who seemingly fell asleep during competition yesterday. I could've sworn I said to keep off my couch. Brightvale barely scraped by with one win in Shootout Showdown, with Team Tyrannia taking the other three - Yooyuball, Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise. Time to put down the books Team Brightvale! I know, it's so tempting to keep reading. Team Kiko Lake decided to lay off water rafting for one day just to kick some competition butt, sweeping Team Terror Mountain. The snowager was nowhere to be found. Maybe he fell asleep as well?

It was a close call for Krawk Island, drawing in every game except for Make Some Noise against Team Maraqua. Looks like all those pirate screams got them somewhere, yarr! Hopefully Team Krawk Island doesn't continue to drown in draws this season! Team Lost Desert ties it up with wins in Shootout Showdown and Slushie Slinger against Team Moltara, who took Yooyuball and an impressive winning score in Make Some Noise. Feisty Team Kreludor got their brooms out, sweeping the board with Team Roo Island's blumaroos. Looks like some apologies may be in order (or not).

Team Meridell does a smashing show by winning both Slushie Slinger and Shootout Showdown and drawing in Yooyuball against Team Darigan Citadel. Our dark friends were able to sneak away in the night with one win in Make Some Noise yesterday. Maybe they should wear more spikes! Team Virtupets proves that less gravity IS better, taking down Team Shenkuu with a clean sweep. Unfortunately for Team Altador, our faerie friends came to play hard today, with Team Faerieland taking the second sweep for this bracket!

It may just be me, but I think it's freakishly spooky that Team Haunted Woods won Slushie Slinger, Make Some Noise and drew Shootout Showdown yesterday. BOO! Team Kiko Lake came away with one win in Yooyuball. Team Tyrannia had similar results, taking both Yooyuball and Make Some Noise alongside a draw in Slushie Slinger. Don't worry Team Mystery Island, I love that yellow Chia a lot too, which is probably why they take home one win in Shootout Showdown! Who can blame them? He jiggles quite well. Team Brightvale almost sweeps Team Terror Mountain, drawing only in one game, Yooyuball. No avalanche sightings have happened.. yet.

The AC will not be there until tomorrow, but at least it's NC counterpart, Hidden Altador, has started today. Enchanted Compasses are selling at the NC mall for 700 NC each and there will be 4 of them. The first one is the Hidden Altador Hall of Fountains Enchanted Compass.

Whoa!  The Altador Colosseum has seemed to get a little more Super!  The two final teams have arrived and are getting ready to start the SN Staff Tournament.

The Altador Cup will soon be upon us and we at Sunnyneo have been busy preparing for this event. Have a look at our Altador Cup coverage which will be updated daily once the AC starts. 

Some old favourites will make a return. The SN Staff Tournament will be held again this year. So far, two teams have arrived. Say hello to Team Altachuk and Team Pink Skulls! More info on this will follow...

Another fan favourite that is returning is the Customisation Spotlight. This year, things will be slightly different and you will be able to submit your entry through the site. Another novelity is how this year there will be two categories, one for Neopets only wearing Neopoint items, and one for Pets wearing Neocash items or a combination of both.
You can still enter your Pets only once, though.

We have finally added some Altador Cup Petpages for you.  We have all 18 teams set to go.  We hope you like them.

The pages were made so that they can be used for Altador Cups to come.  No player name or image is set on the layout.  You can easily change any players out if one retires or is traded.  You can show of your scores with the scorecard, and show off anything else AC related.  Show off your fonts you use for the cup, your customisations, previous years teams you may have joined, previous years scores, or whatever your heart desires.

As of today, you can head on over to the Colosseum to sign up and support your team in the Altador Cup!  The Cup itself starts on June 1st, so you have plenty of time to decide on which team to join.  Once you sign up, you are free to practice your heart out until the battle for the Cup begins!

Another friendly reminder to those who participated in Altador Cup VIII Staff Tournament, do not forget to claim your prizes at the Staff Tournament Prize Shop before it closes on the 29th.  The main Altador Cup Prize Shop is now closed.

The Altador Cup IX is near.  A few teams have started to arrive at the Colosseum to get ready for practice.  Sign ups are not for another ten days, however.
