We have improved 2 of our guides. The Hidden Tower Guide now has more information about the items available and the old items retired, as well as sortable options for the items. The Stamps Guide has also had a makeover. There is now additional information you can see for each stamp, like rarity, description, and any pertinent information about the stamp.

It looks like a new wintery MME will be showing up soon, for the marquee image has already been found:

As you may have heard, Neopets: Treasure Keepers was closed permanently on Wednesday, December 14th, 2011. As promised, we're sending you this virtual item code for use on Neopets.com to say thanks for your support over the past few months. We really appreciate all of you taking time out to play and we hope you enjoyed it!

It seems like everyone, even the players who did not play NTK can still redeem the code.

The code is good for a pack of items for use on your Neopets.com account that includes an exclusive wearable, a Plushie Petpet Paint Brush, and 10,000 Neopoints.

Treasure Keepers has been shut down :(

It's 11:45 NST and it looks like the closure of Treasure Keepers is complete. You should now be redirected to a notice when attempting to load the game. We'll be sending out the thank you code for the wearable, Petpet paint brush, Neopoints, and other items to players via email starting tomorrow morning. Thanks for your support, everyone. We hope you enjoyed your time with NTK.

A little update on the "thank you code" emails:

We're just posting to update you on the status of the "thank you code" email. We want to make sure we don't leave anyone out, so we're just waiting on the absolute final list of all Treasure Keepers player email addresses. We'd hoped to have it yesterday so we could send the code out today, but it's taking a bit longer than expected and should instead be arriving later today. We then need a day to put it in our email system - we know, it seems long, but that's how the system works - so it's looking like your email will be arriving tomorrow instead. As always, if anything changes we'll let you know.

Like we said a few days ago, the Red Holiday Cracker Gram is likely to have another gram coming along with it. Now, thanks to dragonsflame_uk, we can tell you a new Gram is indeed coming up:

Just to get you into the right holiday cheer, some new Christmas Grams will be released in the NC Mall. In an add on the Neopets homepage, you can see the Red Holiday Cracker Gram, which will be released soon.

Seeing how so far, Grams have always been released in multiplies, it's highly possible we'll see another Gram before Christmas is there as well. To find out more about Grams, have a look at our Neocash Grams page, which we'll be updating as soon as this new Gram comes out.

As we mentioned earlier, TNT has decided to shut down the facebook game Neopets: Treasure Keepers, effective December 14.  A bit more detail is now available:

Hello, again. We have some updates for you. - We're told the game will come down around 11 PM NST, roughly 16.5 hours from the time of this post. The date is still the same: December, 14th, 2011. Tomorrow. - If you have any codes you've yet to redeem, we suggest redeeming them as soon as possible so you don't lose them. To find your codes, click on the blue and yellow award ribbon in the bottom right of the game to load your achievements log. Achievements you have earned are green and have a checkmark, and you can look through these for any codes you may have been awarded. (It will say 'Neopets Code: TK-ACHXXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX' at the bottom of the achievement box if that achievement granted a code.) Then simply click on the code to be taken to the redemption page here on Neopets. If you've already redeemed the code, you'll be notified with an error when trying to redeem it again. - Also, to clarify, the thank you code we'll be sending out to Treasure Keepers players will be sent to the email address you used when giving permissions to the game on Facebook. We're looking to send that email out on Thursday, after the game closes. Should anything change or we have any more information to share, we'll post here to update you again. TNT has announced that their facebook game Neopets: Treasure Keepers will be closing effective Wednesday, December 14th.  If you haven't unlocked the site theme yet, today is likely your last chance.  Check out our Treasure Keepers guide to see the unlockable achievements.  To get the site theme, you must complete the tutorial.

Because our Wishing Well project was used to unlock the wishing well avatar earlier today. We were able to analyse how it was unlocked, and we have found out ourselves. Now sharing with the rest of the world the solution:

	Make a wish at the Wishing Well with 48673 nps. It doesn't matter what item you wish for. Make sure its one of your first 7 wishes since the well last granted wishes. We assume this is every 12 hours. But we are testing to find out.

A special congrats goes to mikh26 who was the first to unlock the avatar (see below). Even though you did not share the solution with us, we were able to find the solution by analysing your previous submissions in the Wishing Well Project. Thanks! Also a special thanks goes out to a person who would like to remain anonymous. This person who helped us in the very beginning of the Wishing Well Project by sharing with us their theory on how the avatar could be unlocked. You know who you are ;-) you inspired us to start testing all these numbers under 99,999nps.

After what seems like forever, someone has unlocked the Wishing Well avatar today. They have been posting with it on Avatar Chat and are also actively wearing it on their userlookup. To prevent them from receiving thousands of neomails we will respect their privacy by not posting their username here. Hopefully this person will want to share the secret with the rest of us. But the good news is that its humanly possible to unlock the avatar. Hurrah!


Update: We are happy to announce with wishing well avatar was unlocked with help of our very own Wishing Well project here at SunnyNeo:


We don't know yet which number was used to unlock the avatar, but we do know we are on the right track and we will keep logging attempts to try and unlock the avatar until we can share the news with everyone. If you want to help, feel free to participate in the project!

It appears if you login into Monkey Quest with your Neopets account, you will receive 100 FREE NC. It may take several minutes, for your NC to show up on your Neopets account. If you login to Monkey Quest with your Neopets account, you don't need to activate it, otherwise if you didn't login with your Neopets account, you will need to activate it your Monkey Quest account.

You are also able to claim the FREE 100 NC on your side accounts.

When you receive your FREE NC, you can spend it in the NC Mall, Monkey Quest, Neopet's Habitarium, PetPet Park or any other Nickelodeon Virtual Game.



Update: It appears that many people are having problems receiving their 100 NC. You may or may not receive it instantly, so please wait several minutes until you receive it.
Update 2: instead of several minutes, it can take at least 20 minutes up to an hour before your NC will be credited. If you still haven't gotten it after that time, try visiting the NC Mall to make it appear.

This year again, tnt is doing the Stocking Stufftacular event. Stocking pack are now for sale at the NC mall, starting at 150 NC for a 1-pack, and 1800 NC for a 25-pack.

The Stuff a Stocking Community Challenge is a challenge to hang stockings. The meter will rise as more stockings are hung. Hang at least one stocking starting on December 1, 2011. If by the end of the event – December 31st, the max goal is reached, anyone who has hung at least one stocking will receive a Bonus NC item prize!
