With the fall of the final bosses in the Battle for the Obelisk, the battledome is now back up and running with normal challengers.

It seems that the Sneak Attack is coming to an end with Greed (Thieves), Envy (Order), Wrath (Brute Squad) and Pride (Sway) having been defeated.  Everyone is waiting to see if this is truly a defeat or ... if they will rise again!

A Special Message from TNT on the The Official Neopets Team Message Board , concerning the early defeat of bosses from The War for the Obelisk

Hey, folks. We're posting to apologise for the boss weirdness and explain what happened. Our apologies to Brute Squad and Order members who tried to fight this morning and couldn't. (Please don't worry about the time you've missed. We've got you covered and it won't affect your standing!) And the explanation starts............................ now! Without giving too much away, the bosses are indeed a group effort but there is a chance that really strong players (who fight for over 3 hours and 2000+ epic rounds! How awesome is that!?) can rack up a victory and "kill" it. We'll just say that these bosses aren't your normal Neopets, and in the case of one person taking them down in a blaze of glory, said bosses would resurrect to fight again until the group brings the HP to 0 overall. As you know, that last part didn't happen like it should have, causing Wrath and Envy to stay "defeated" for an extended period this morning. They have now been resurrected properly (and the bug fixed) and you can continue fighting to bring them down to 0 HP as a group as intended. We've also changed around some abilities to even things out a bit, FYI. To those wondering what this means as far as the final winner goes, we'll say that ALL fighting, from Wave 1 up through these... things, is counted for your faction. One person getting a victory against a boss helps (because it's pretty awesome). Defeating your boss first as a group helps more. But these are by no means the only things contributing! Everything is taken into account. Things are pretty close right now, so if you want to win, keep fighting. Sorry again for the extended death sequence. And good luck to anyone else attempting a massive takedown! - The Neopets Boss Wrangling Team

Last week, TNT stated in an editorial that they would release some plot-related Neoboard Titles for you to use on the Neoboards! There are a few different titles to choose from for each faction.

	- Awakened - Awakened One - Seeks Cake
	- Brute - Brute /flex - Brute Squad
	- Order of the Red Erisim - Pointy Hat - Wizard of the Order
	- Scholar - Seeker of Knowledge - Seekers
	- The Sway - Clandestine
	- Guild Thief - Master Thief - Thieves Guild

(If you are unsure what a Neoboard title actually is, it's the little bit of text that appears underneath your username on the Neoboards. It can be set via your Preferences.)

Show your devotion to the Seekers and their quest for knowledge with this fancy new Seekers Userlookup! Look on the Plot Graphics page for other layouts and graphics.

The new batch of challengers at the plot seem to be using the Faerie Abilities Throw Pillows and Lens Flare. Both these abilities cause you to not be able to use any weapons. While normally these abilities can only be use once during a battle or once a day, the plot challengers can use it round after round. This causes you to not be able to do anything and therefore most likely lose the battle.

Tip: Two challengers Cunning Mastermind from The Sway and Master Wizard from The Order do not have these abilities. Battle against them for an easier match.

Also, our Plot guide has been updated with a section on the Offensive Strike.



Update: Apparently this was all a glitch and the war challengers were not meant to be using the abilities over and over during the same battle. This has been fixed now.

With the second wave of battledome challengers, a new Luminous Cask showed up as well. This time, it is Purple Luminous Cask.

This time, the items it gives out seem to be based of several factions: the Seekers, the Thieves and again the Order of the Red Erism

The Second Assault of battledome challengers are charging with an increased difficulty.  Be sure to fight for your team.


The War for the Obelisk Guide has been updated with a chapter on the Second Assault. The team pages have also been updated with images of the new challengers.

Only the strongest and toughest warriors will want to display this userlookup to show their support for the Brutes.

TNT has updated the News Features with a rumour that the next wave of challengers will be released on Sunday.

We have some insider news! A spy accidentally told it to an opposite team's faction leader, who tipped off a friend in a rival faction who then turned and blabbed about it during their tea break over at the Mysterious Obelisk, which we then overheard. Apparently something is going to happen this Sunday. Something about 'another wave'? Maybe they are expecting a tsunami. You might want to finish up your battles before this appointed time - just in case.

So make sure to finish your battles for the first wave of challengers today!
