Job Description

We are looking for someone to be in charge of updating our Keyquest guide. Your task will be to keep up to date on everything Keyquest related. You will need to add new pages if new games are released. If new prizes, tokens or boards appear, you must add those to the existing pages. If there is important Keyquest related news, you must make a news post on our homepage. We would like to find someone very enthusiastic about Keyquest who can bring our guide to the next level by adding new interesting content.

The amount of time you will need to spend on this job is completely dependent on the amount of updates Neopets makes on Keyquest and how many ideas you have to improve our guide. If you are interested, you can also help out with other parts of the site. That being said your main task would remain updating our Keyquest guide.

Requirements

The person we are looking for must meet the following qualifications.

You must be a fan of Keyquest and play it weekly (or preferably daily). If you play the game a lot you will be the first to know of updates and new features. We are looking for someone who can help us deliver news and guide updates quickly after release.
You must have average or expert level with HTML and CSS. Without knowledge of HTML you will not be able to update our pages.
You must have a good graphics program and you must know how to use it. Guides are useless without graphics. Not all programs can deliver good quality or have all the options you will need. You need to at least be able to crop, resize, watermark and compress your images.
You must have good writing skills. When you write something, others must be able to understand what you are saying. SunnyNeo has a lot of younger users, they too must understand how to earn items or how to play a minigame.
You accept that when you make something for the site it will then become the site's and if you were to ever leave, the guides you contributed would stay.
You plan on doing this job for quite a long time. We are not looking for people who will quit after a month. Please only apply if you're sure you will enjoy this job.
You are able / allowed to download and install an FTP Program. We use this program to upload files on the SunnyNeo webserver and edit them as well. Without this program you will not be able to upload your work.
You do not work for another Neopets related website.

Preferences

Below you can see a list of our preferences. You do not need to meet these preferences, but it's a big bonus if you do. If you don't meet our preferences you can still apply, after all, they're preferences, not requirements.

You are out of highschool, or 15/16 years or older.
You have Skype/Windows Live Messenger.
You can join our staff guild on your main account. In the guild we chat about the site and we prefer it if you can actively take part in these discussions. Checking to see what's going on once a month on a side account won't be sufficient.

Please read the note below. We will not take any applications into consideration without a portfolio.

Before you decide to apply for the position of Keyquest Expert at SunnyNeo you MUST make a Keyquest portfolio on one of your petpages. Your portfolio will show us insights of your work and skills. We will not be judging your portfolio on the layout, we care about the contents, so feel free to use a premade layout.

So what should you put in your portfolio?
You should consider your portfolio a sample of your work. Show us a page you would make for the Keyquest guide. For instance, a guide for a minigame we do not yet have on our guide. Or something new that we do not have yet, like strategy guide for the different boards. The more you put in your portfolio, the better chances you have at convincing us. Be sure to also include some supporting images in your guide so we can how well you make those.

Please work on making a good, solid portfolio before applying. Your portfolio will put the most weight in your application, so make sure its 100% done when you send in your application form. Don't worry if it takes longer than a day for you to make.

If you get accepted, the work on your portfolio will be used as content for the Keyquest guide (with possible alterations).

Finally, make sure that your neomail is not on neofriends-only. If we like your work we will contact you for some further details.
