Snarkie has just posted on the beta neoboards about the prizes that have been given out at Battledome Beta. 

Those are real loot tables we put in for testing, but it appears there's a bug that ignores the rarity and chooses any item from the table indiscriminately. This is, of course, not how it's supposed to work. So we're pulling loot down (including NP) for now while we look into it. Yeah, there is a 5 item per day cap right now. That appears to be working just fine, thankfully. That's why we put it so low... just in case the loot went rogue for whatever reason. (And to keep earnings low since this is a closed test.)

We started listing all the available prizes at our Battledome Beta guide. With the 5 item a day maximum this will of course not go as fast anymore now. We do feel like we got very far with the list already.

While during the first testing the rarest prizes such as nerkmids, paint brushes and morphing potions were just as easy to obtain as the cheaper prizes, this will now be corrected by TNT.

Now for sale in Future Fashions: Autumn Acorn Mystery Capsule. This Capsule can give out one of three Limited Edition items:

In our coverage about the new Battledome, we already mentioned item rewards you would get after winning a battle. Now these prizes are available in beta-testing and we thought it would be nice to give you some info on them.
The current prizes include codestones, different kinds of weapons, food and books, but some bigger items like Morphing Potions, Paint Brushes and Nerkmids have been reported as well.

Of course, keep in mind this is only Beta-testing yet and these things might yet change before the Battledome goes live. We've updated our Battledome BETA guide with info on the prizes. Here you can find all the other info about the new battledome as well. Go check it out!

Yesterday we mentioned that the closed beta testing for the Battledome had begun and that we were so lucky to get in it. We've spent all day gathering information and writing up a guide for everyone to see what the new battledome is like. If you're curious look at our Battledome BETA guide.

Looks like TNT wants to see some Halloween customisations, because they've posted a Halloween Costume Contest on their Facebook your Neopet can participate in!

To enter, you have to:

1. Customise a Neopet in our Dressing Room (or another one, but we'd love some SunnyNeo entries!) or use your own Neopet on Neopets, and design the best costume that you can!
2. Send an e-mail to [email protected] with the following information:
   
   • The URL of the dressed Neopet. (No entries with image attachments will be accepted.)
   • Your Neopets.com username.
   • A brief description of the costume.

Entry cutoff is 11:59 PM NST on Monday the 29th of October, they'll go through the entries on Tuesday and the top 3 winners will be handsomely rewarded!

After you've customised your pet in the SunnyNeo Dressing Room, you will need to make a screenshot and upload it somewhere, as TNT does not want to receive e-mails with attachements. To make a screenshot, first make sure you've got the right outfit on your screen. Then press the Print Screen or prtscrn button on your keyboard. For Mac computers, you have to push: Apple+Shift+3 and then click on the screen. You can then go to any graphics program such as paint, paste the image and save it. You can upload the saved image. Don't know how to do this? Don't despair! Look at SunnyNeo's Uploading Images tutorial.

Battledome closed beta has begun. The neomails have been sent out to those who were lucky enough to get in. We are lucky enough to participate in this and are hoping to be able to keep everyone up to date with the progress and changes. Earlier on, we posted the names of some unreleased backgrounds that will come out around Halloween. They are:

Unfortunately, Apple Bobbing that has moved to the Haunted Faire, comes with a not so pleasant glitch. When bobbing for apples with an unconverted pet, this glitch might turn your neopet blue and thereby converting it. So be sure not to have your unconverted pet active when bobbing for those apples!

Rumour has it that the Edna avatar is easier to obtain in October. We don't usually post rumours, but as it happens I myself got the Edna avatar on my first try today (after many previously failed attempts), so maybe the rumour has some truth to it. Even if it doesn't, maybe it's worth a try for everyone!

To get the Edna avatar you must successfully complete a quest at the Witch's Tower, and then its random whether you get the avatar or not. Here at SunnyNeo we have an Edna Project which logs all successful (and unsuccessful) quests that have been submitted. It appears all successfull quests have been ones where she asks for three items.
You can take part by visiting our Edna Project and clicking on Submit Quests Form. You can also see all Successful Quests and your submitted quests will be logged at the Quester Profiles page. You do not need an account for this.

There's a new free Goodie bag in the NC Mall, called Ghost Melton Goodie Bag:

Opening this goodie bag will give you a Ghostly Blue Gloves, which is a NC item.

Since this goodie bag only contains a NC item, you are allowed to claim this item on your side accounts as well!

On the New features page, tnt announced the Battledome has now been closed:

Goodbye, old friend! - The (old) Battledome is now officially closed. It has sacrificed itself so that its brother, New Battledome, may soon live. ALL HAIL OLD BATTLEDOME! Anyone interested and able can join us on the Battledome Neoboard as we say goodbye.  And for the technical stuff: when attempting to visit any Battledome pages, you'll be forwarded to an error page. You'll also receive an error when trying to equip items from your inventory. Next up will be Closed Beta and we'll announce that here in New Features when we start sending out invitations.

Hopefully this will mean new Battledome will be on it's way soon!

Until then, this means you cannot do anything dealing with the battledome anymore, including equiping and unequiping battledome items to your Neopet. To read more about the closing of the Battledome be sure to check out it's FAQ!
