Tangor's Workshop



During the Atlas of the Ancients Plot, which lead to the discovery of Moltara, it was discovered that you can make petpets at Tangor's Workshop. To make these petpets, you need to collect items around Moltara. This page will give you some insights into how to collect these items and also on how to make the petpets.


Collecting the objects
There are four different objects you can find in Moltara City. They are used to build petpets. Below you can see how to obtain them. You can also buy them from other users. Finding these objects is a daily activity. If you obtain them on day 1, you can do the same thing on day 2, 3 etc.


Shiny Obsidian
Visit the Quarry at the bottom left of Moltara City.

Miscellaneous Gears
You must find them placed somewhere on the map of Moltara City. If there is nothing there, try refreshing until the gears appear.

Known locations are:
- In front of the metal door of Lampwyck's Light shop
- In front of the big vault
- On the roof of Molten Morsels
- On the roof of the building with the hammer
- Next to the stairs at the middle of the map
- In front of the building with a hammer on it
- On the roof of Cog's Togs
- On the roof of the building behind Cog's Togs


Look below this table to see some screenshots of these known locations. If you are not sure if the gears are on your map, click somewhere on the map (where there is no link to a shop etc.) and press tab. You will see which shops are linked by pressing the tab key multiple times. The gears would also show with a yellow border if you have them on your map. If not, keep refreshing.

Warning: Look carefully before you refresh again. The gears may disappear if you refresh while they are on your page. TNT writes in neomails that people who are actively refreshing can 'miss' them. Click here for screenshot 1. Click here for screenshot 2 (thank you fairywings44).

Awarded by random event at Moltara City. Try refreshing to find them.

Red Moltite
Complete the worm collecting activity (see Worm section below for more information) then visit the Dark Cave and click around until you find the Red Moltite.

Collecting the Worms
First, visit Lampwyck's to get your Empty Lantern.

Something has happened!
"Say, you look like a respectable citizen. How would you like this old, useless lantern? It's got no light source, but I'm sure you might be able to find some use for it."


Then start collecting worms around Moltara. There are ten known colours: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, white, black, rainbow, and pink. You cannot collect any worms if you do not have the Empty Lantern in your inventory.

The worms appear at different times on the Moltara City and Moltara Caves pages. They will not appear on shops, only on the main pages. They always appear at the same places, you can see the locations at the images below.

You found a worm! You pick it up and take it with you.



Yellow Worm
has been added to your Inventory.


If you have the lantern in your safety deposit box for instance, you will get an error message saying you cannot collect the worm.

What a neat looking worm. Too bad you have nowhere to put it.





It is important to click on a worm when you see one. If you wait too long, it may disappear again.




How strange, there's nothing here. You really thought you saw something...



The worms have been appearing on a predictable schedule. The schedule is different for each account, so we can�t tell you when your worms will appear, however. The worms that are available will change every five minutes. Example: perhaps you�ll be able to collect the Green, Red, and Orange worms from 8:05:00 AM NST until 8:09:59 AM NST, then from 8:10:00 AM NST until 8:14:59 AM NST you may find the Red and White worms. Your schedule should be the same every day, so if you find the Rainbow worm at a certain time today, it should appear at the same time again tomorrow.


Once you have collected one worm of each colour, go to your inventory and select the empty lantern. From the dropdown menu, select "Fill it with worms".






You put all ten worms into the Empty Lantern, creating a Brightly Lit Lantern!






Then you can take your brightly lit lantern to the Dark Cave. Navigate through the cave and you'll find some Red Moltite.






This lantern is bright enough to see with!


    




You may get stuck in the caves which makes you need to start over. There are 9 different endings of the cave: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9.

Now you should have found your Red Moltite.






You found a chunk of moltite deep within the cave! What a rare find!










Red Moltite

has been added to your Inventory.


Oh no! The worms have gotten tired from putting out so much bright light, and have fallen asleep! It is now too dark to see! You'd better leave.



The Red Moltite can be combined with the other items found in Moltara at Tangor's Workshop (see the table below).

If you return your lamp to Lampwyck's, you'll get a wearable lantern called Friendly Glowing Lantern.

Something has happened!
"Oh, the worms are tired? Here, I'll nurse them back to health, don't you worry. Come back tomorrow for them! And as a token of my appreciation, have this other lantern. It's a little more useful than this one!"


The next day you can start over. You will get a new lamp from Lampwyck. You will only receive the wearable one time, but it is important that you turn in your dim lantern before midnight NST, or else you will have to skip a day of worm collecting.

Something has happened!
"Oh dear! The worms escaped overnight! They must have regained their strength and returned to the depths of Moltara. How will we ever find them again?"



How to make the petpets
You can use these objects to create petpets at Tangor's Workshop. If you use the items to create a petpet, they will disappear.
