What Is The Wheel Of Monotony?
The Wheel of Monotony is located on the Tyrannian Plateau. The cost to spin the wheel is 150 Neopoints. You can spin the wheel once every 24 hours. And of course, you can only spin the wheel on your main account.

During the Save the Wheels site event in July 2010, the Wheel of Monotony was saved. The Wheel was redrawn from its old version and the prizes were revised.

   


 

The Wheel Of Monotony Results

There are 16 different spaces you can land on when spinning the wheel. Some are more common to get as a result than others. Below we've made an overview of all possible results.

	Volcano Takes you to The Volcano, where you will be greeted with the following message. The Volcano How did you find your way this far North?!!? You shouldn't have ventured past the Plateau... there are scary things to be found up here! Go back now!
	Green Codestone Symbol Receive a Bri Codestone.   Not bad! Was your prize worth the wait? Bri Codestone
	Weapon Receive a Battledome item.   Not bad! Was your prize worth the wait? Flaming Gauntlet
	Question Mark Receive the Wheel of Monotony avatar.   Not bad! Was the prize worth the wait? You found an avatar! Yay!
	Tyrannian Petpet Paint Brush You receive a Petpet Paint Brush.   Not bad! Was your prize worth the wait? Tyrannian Petpet Paint Brush
	Lottery Ticket You receive a ticket for the Neopian Lottery   Not bad! Was your prize worth the wait? You got a lottery ticket! If you win the lottery you'll be Neomailed automatically!
	Rock Your active neopet will lose half their hit points.   Better luck next time. Come back when you have a lot of time to kill. Your Neopet loses half their hit points!

	Light Faerie These are in reference to the old Faerie Abilities. Your pet's ability level is increased.   Not bad! Was your prize worth the wait? You got a Faerie blessing, which increased Petname's level in Spark!   If your pet has no faerie abilities: Nothing happens.   That prize is almost as boring as watching this Wheel spin. You would have gotten a Faerie blessing, but Petname has no abilities!
	Red Codestone Symbol Receive a red Codestone.   Not bad! Was your prize worth the wait? Mag Codestone
	The Beast When you go to collect the prize, you will be directed straight to The Beast without a message from the wheel.
	Mazzew You win a Mazzew petpet.   Not Bad! Was your prize worth the wait? Mazzew
	Stack of Neopoint Bags Receive 20,000 NP.   Not bad! Was your prize worth the wait? 20,000 NP

Spinning Within Twenty-Four Hours
You can only spin the wheel again 24 hours after you've last collected your prize. If you try to do so before that time has passed, the Tyrannian Quiggle will tell you to come back later.
 

The Wheel of Monotony   Wow, you must be really bored if you want to spin again. Maybe you should go watch some grass grow for a while and then come back.

 

Wheel of Monotony Prizes

For every space that you land on, there's a specific set of prizes that can be awarded. Below are all possible prizes that can be awarded when spinning the Wheel of Monotony. There's also an avatar that can be earned as well as a chance to have Magnus the Torch as a Battledome Challenger.
Below are the original prizes that were given out until October 15, 2025. These prizes are now retired from the Wheel of Monotony.

Battledome Challenger
There is a chance to be greeted by a new Battledome Challenger, Magnus the Torch. This challenger is received when landing on the volcano.  View our Battledome Challenger guide for more information.
 

NEW BATTLEDOME CHALLENGER!!! Magnus the Torch will be waiting for you in the BATTLEDOME!!! Living in the volcanic northern part of Tyrannia, Magnus has possibly the most powerful and fiery breath of all Scorchios. Watch out for that breath if you ever enter the Battledome with him.

Skirmish Battles Wheel Boon
The ongoing Neopets event: Skirmish Battles, will award certain boons if your team wins. One of those is called Right Round Round Round. This boon allows you to spin each neopian wheel two times (Excitement, Extravagance, Knowledge, Mediocrity, Misfortune and Monotony) before having to wait the usual time to spin again. It is available from a win from Brute Squad, The Seekers, or randomly Awakened.
