Though Pebpeb and Brambles are beloved amongst the team members, their presence initially brought out a plethora of insecurities in Wila Benne-Neyhbol, who is speculated to want to start a family with her husband Harlis Benne-Neyhbol of Team Moltara. Gradually, she has grown more confident in her caretaking abilities by spending more time with Loryche’s toddlers, and now Pebpeb and Brambles are mainstays at practices, keeping the team on their toes both on and off the pitch.

“They’re good at playing with the team. The li’l darlings even know all the rules to Yooyuball now,” Loryche said fondly over the sound of Pebpeb and Brambles screeching with glee as Wila chased them around in a game of ‘stone tag.’ “But every now and then they get the darndest ideas in their heads…”

After Loryche’s interview concluded, practice continued long into the evening. When it was time to go home, the motherly Chomby corralled her daughters – but they only acquiesced to ending the day when they were promised a stop for Minty Rock Ice Cream on the way home, because “the monster” didn’t like the smell of mint. Loryche’s smile was that of one who hadn’t slept well in weeks as she said, “See? They’ve got it in their precious noggins that there’s a monster that watches our practices, when really it’s just some vines rattlin’ in the wind.”

“It’s true, Mama! He has big yellow eyes and he likes Yooyuball!” Brambles protested, while Pebpeb yelled, “They’re not vines, they’re a monster! Vines don’t move like that and they aren’t slimy and they don’t watch practice!”
