Rink Runner

General Info
It's that time of year again when Terror Mountain hosts their Annual Happy Valley Skating competition! Help the Bruce show off their best moves on the ice rink in this challenging game, Rink Runner

Since this is a site feature that gives out neopoint rewards and prizes, you may not play Rink Runner on your side accounts. For more information look at our side accounts guide.

How to Play
Play as a Bruce and catch as many notes as you can. You need to, however, use as few jumps as possible! The notes will appear on the screen starting in any direction, and over time, will change color until they turn red and disappear. As you attempt to catch notes with as much limited movement as possible, there are three judges who will gives scores for each round. The best part? At every round, the ice rink will begin to melt, giving an extra challenge of trying not to land in water. For if you do, you'll sink and it'll be an automatic game over!

Controls
The act of sliding is by clicking from one area to another. On a computer, your control is your mouse. On a handheld device, your control is your finger clicking around the ice rink. It is marginally easier to play on a Smartphone than it is on the computer.

Scoring
Each moving note is 1 point. You can earn up to 30 notes per round, which means the highest score you can accumulate is 30 points. While you can do 30 jumps per 30 notes, it is best to do as little jumps as possible. When you jump more than 30 times, your score with the three judges begin to go down, which in turn, drops your overall score.

While there are many notes that slide around the ice, there are two musical symbols to stray away from: the flat and sharp keys. Avoid these musical symbols at all costs. When you collide into them, you immediately lose 2 points from your round's score.

Warning! As of December 2021, there is currently a glitch preventing players from sending a cumulative score. Sending score will only count on the current rounds' points.

Levels
It is unknown how many levels there are in Rink Runner. However, it is expected to be a total of 11 levels with the pattern of how many points a player needs to gain per level.

Level 1
The first level is a practice level. Practice jumping from one side of the ice rink to the other while catching musical notes. The ice does not have any cracks or holes to avoid. There are no minimum number of notes to collect to advance to the next level.

Level 2
The second level is the start of requiring a minimum of 21 notes to be collected in order to advance to the next level. There are some cracks and holes in the ice to avoid or it will be an automatic game over.

Level 3
The third level requires a minimum of 22 notes to be collected in order to advance to the next level. The cracks and holes are significantly bigger, creating four icy islands. Be sure to avoid the cracks and holes or it will be an automatic game over.

Strategies
There are a few known strategies when playing Rink Runner to take into consideration.

The less jumping, the better!
You have 30 jumps per round that does not penalize the overall score. When it exceeds 30 jumps, the judges will knock down the overall score. So keep jumping to a minimum!

Round the outside
All the notes come from the sides of the rink. There is a better chance of grabbing notes if staying on the outskirts of the rink.

Long strides is key
It is easy to make smaller strides to catch notes nearby, but it is much more strategic to glide from one side of the rink to the other. There is a better chance to grab more than one note. However, be careful, because it means there is a greater chance to get a sharp or flat note, too.

Trophies
There are three Hi-Score trophies that can be earned when playing Rink Runner.
