Below you can see an overview of all the different random event's you can receive while surfing around Neopia. This page is divided into different categories, so click on the category of your choice and random events with explanations will appear.

If you receive any random events that are not shown on this page, or if you have any extra information about the random events listed on this page please take a screenshot and save the source of the page, then contact us. Extra information could be for example, that you have a number of neopoints that got stolen from you outside the range listed on this page. Before you contact us, please make sure the random event is not listed in any of the other categories.

Nothing Happens

There are a lot of random events that are quite pointless and for entertainment purposes only. If you get one of the events shown below, nothing will happen to you, your account, or your pets.



Rumbling Stomach:
A very common event is one where your Neopet's stomach will rumble and they will want a certain food. Feeding this food they want does nothing special to your pet. In fact, you will even get this event when your pet is bloated and cannot eat any more food. The event below shows a Fizzy Quiggle Drink, this can be replaced with any other item categorized by Neopets as 'Food'. This excludes other categories such as Baked, Healthy Food, Pizza etc.

An interesting fact is that this random event can also ask for the Smiley Snacks that are for sale at the NC Mall.

Something has happened!
	Your Neopets stomach is rumbling.... I think they would like a Fizzy Quiggle Drink! You better buy one for them :)

Nigel the Stockbroker Chia:
To promote people investing in the Stock Market there is a random event in which Nigel appears and tells you to invest in a certain company. This can be any of the listed companies, which one he picks is totally random and it does not mean that this stock will go up!

	Nigel the Stockbroker Chia says 'Have you considered investing in TPEG (Theme Park Entertainers Guild)??'

Ghosts:
Ghosts appearing doesn't necessarily mean they will steal neopoints from you. Sometimes they just like to stare are you, or try to frighten you.

	A Ghost comes out of the ground and says 'BOO'

	A Ghost comes out of the ground and stares evilly at you...

Spider:
Nope, spiders are not just in your home and garden, they are also on Neopets. Sometimes you might see one spinning a web or crawling over a page

	A huge spider spins her web on this page...

	A huge spider crawls all over the page...

Scamander:
Like spiders, there are also scamanders who sometimes make their appearance on Neopets.

	A slimy scamander slithers over this page and hisses at you!

Random pets:
Sometimes a pet will visit you and talk to you. There are 4 different events that you may get:

	A blumaroo bounces past and says 'Never ever give out your password!'

Something has happened!
	A green scorchio flies past and says 'Hope you are having fun!'

Something has happened!
	A red poogle hops past and says 'Hi!'

Something has happened!
	A pink poogle hops past and says 'Hi!'

Your pet:
Sometimes, your pet may appear to interact with you. Don't worry about what the random event says; some might say your pet wants food, while he/she is actually bloated. Others might appear saying that you don't play with your pet enough, while you just played with him/her. What the event says is totally random and not based on anything. The events will show one of your own pets.

Evil Monsters:
Sometimes, evil monsters might appear who will try to scare you. Among these monsters are the Monocerous, the Swamp Ghoul, the Lava Ghoul and the Ghost Lupe. The number of Wockies in the Monocerous random event may change to any two-digit number.

Something has happened!
	The Monocerous roars 'Once I ate 16 Jub Jubs in a week!'

Something has happened!
	The Monocerous growls 'Over the last month I have eaten 38 Wockys'

Something has happened!
	The Swamp Ghoul says 'I will eat your Neopets for breakfast...'

Something has happened!
	The Swamp Ghoul says 'You're never safe... not from the Swamp Ghoul!'

Something has happened!
	The Lava Ghoul floats on this page and looks at you menacingly! I think you were lucky this time...

Something has happened!
	The Ghost Lupe growls 'Dont go to the Mystery Island!!!'

Something has happened!
	The Ghost Lupe growls 'BEWARE!!!'

Something has happened!
	The Ghost Lupe growls 'My what tasty Neopets you have!'

Something has happened!
	The Ghost Lupe growls 'If you have a Chia, Ill be your best friend... they are so tasty'

Something has happened!
	The Ghost Lupe growls 'Oh an Aisha... that would be great for a mid morning snack'

Something has happened!
	The Ghost Lupe growls 'Did you know that Mystery Island is haunted?'

Something has happened!
	The Ghost Lupe growls 'Begone! Leave this page!'

Adee the Chia:
Adee the Chia may come visit you to promote certain parts of the site, such as the referral program, greetings and world events.

	Adee the Chia says 'You can now get a NeoBadge for your web site!'

Something has happened!

Sidney:
Sidney may sometimes appear to promote the Deserted Fairground, on which he has his scratchcard kiosk.

	Sssidney whispersss 'Sssoo... have you been to the Deserted Fairground lately???'

Dragon:
Some people may not know that there are different worlds out there to explore. This dragon (this event was made before there were Draiks, and the image was actually a dragon before) will point you to Mystery Island.

	A dragon flies past overhead, he is headed to the Mystery Island.

Blue Shoyru:
You may sometimes find a Blue (only blue) Shoyru to be flying past you.

Something has happened!
	A Blue Shoyru zooms down from the sky and whizzes past your head!

Mad Pirate Captain:
Perhaps captain Jack Sparrow inspires this event... Who knows...

Something has happened!
	You hear the cackling of a MAD PIRATE CAPTAIN.

Cold Bori:
The Bori in the event below is very cold. This event can happen anywhere in Neopia though, even the hot Lost Desert!

	Brrrrrr, it's cold in here!

Chanting:
The event below is meant to inspire you to go out and explore different worlds. It's meant to make you curious.

Something has happened!
	You hear mysterious chanting coming from far away!

Sloth Related:
This robot seems to be very frightened of Dr. Sloth; perhaps he is making some new evil plans involving robots? The second random event shows a mutant Grundo, used by sloth for his evil plans.

Something has happened!
	A robot flies past you on fire! Help! Help! Dr. Sloth is after me!

Something has happened!
	GRUNDO MUST EAT NEOPETS!!! GRUNDO FETCH NEOPETS FOR MASTER!

Jhudora:
The event shown below is meant to promote Jhudora's Quests.

Something has happened!
	Jhudora appears in a flash of purple and green smoke and says, "Have you completed one of my quests, today?"

The Darkest Faerie:
The event below shows you the Darkest Faerie, evil as she may be, she doesn't notice you, so nothing happens.

Something has happened!
	The Darkest Faerie appears to be deep in thought and doesn't notice you. You'd better run before she finds you and... well, you don't want to know what will happen.

Stolen Neopoints etc:
The event shown below was a joke from TNT to shock people. When this event just came out a lot of people thought their neopoints and items where actually gone! Luckily, no such thing can happen :)

	All your Neopoints have been stolen, and all your items, and all your pets are sick, and your stocks have ... oh wait, it was just a horrible, horrible dream.

Ugly Bug:
This bug is just like the evil villains, trying to scare you.

Something has happened!
	An ugly bug sits here eating a Scabu. He says 'Im going to eat all your Neopets food when you arent looking!!!'

Ghostkerchief:
There are two different Ghostkerchief random events. While one gives you a Ghostkerchief petpet, the one below does absolutely nothing.

	A Ghoskerchief says 'BOO'

Broken event:
Yes! A random event! Oh.. it's broken! If you get this random event, you were supposed to get a real random event, but unlucky as you are, you got nothing!
