All the islands have been found, a new step has been released and it is similar to a puzzle called Sudoku. This is where you can only put the same crew once in each column and one in each row. You are given 1 puzzle to solve each day.

Receiving one of the treasure chests is random and you are not guaranteed to get one each day, or get all 8 by the end of the event. Sorry! Abbey S., The Neopets Team
