Neopies FAQ

What are the Neopies?
The Neopies are Neopia's annual salute to the numerous highlights (and occasional lowlights) that made the previous year so remarkable. Hosted by a charming Elephante named Ellsworth, the Neopies are a grand gala whose prominence on the Neopian social calendar is rivalled only by the magnificence of the Chocolate Ball. Once the nominees are announced, attendees earn prizes for placing their votes, which then decide the winner of each category.

When do the Neopies start and when do they end?
Voting begins on February 1st NST. The winner of the final category is announced February 28th and its winning Nominee is announced three days after on March 3rd.

How are the Neopies finalists chosen?
As the end of the year approached, our Neopian experts gathered to decide on the categories and select nominees. After a few weeks of debating and voting (with a little arguing thrown in for good measure), the list of finalists is complete.

How do I submit my vote?
Click the button below the category you would like to vote for. Once you have made your selection (or selections, depending on how many categories you have available for voting that day), click the Submit My Vote button. At that point, you'll need to confirm your vote(s). Once confirmed, your choice(s) will be submitted.

How many times can I vote per day?
You can vote once per day for each category that's currently available. When voting, you can place a vote for a new category (if there's one available that day) and any additional previously announced categories that you may not have voted for below. You'll find these categories located in the "Your Ballot" box.

How long do I have to vote on each category?
Each category will be open to voting for three days except for the first category, which will be open for four days. If you vote on a category the first day it's up, you'll see a dark blue border around your choice. If your vote is cast on either the second or third day, your selection will have a light blue border around it.

Do I have to vote for all of the categories that are up on a certain day?
No. However, if you want to receive the bonus prizes at the end of the event -- and we know that you do -- you'll need to cast a vote for every category on the day (or, in the case of the first category, day-and-a-half) that it's posted. This also applies to the extra Premium Bonus Prize.

Do I get a prize for voting?
Yes! You'll receive a random prize from the Neopies Prize Pool for every category you vote for. If you are a Premium subscriber, you will also receive an extra bonus prize from a unique Premium Neopies Prize Pool.

How do the Prize Pools work?
Each time you vote for a Category, you will receive a random prize from the Neopies Prize Pool. It consists of many prizes, but once you receive a certain kind, you should not receive it again, so you don't have to worry about repeat prizes. If you are a Premium subscriber, you will also receive an extra prize for each vote from the Premium Neopies Prize Pool. This prize pool consists of only 27 items, so while which prize you get per vote will be random, if you vote for each category, you are guaranteed to get all prizes from within!

I was shown three items from the Premium Prize Pool I could get if I become Premium. Am I guaranteed those prizes?
Not exactly. You are not guaranteed those exact items that day, those are just examples of the sort of items within the Premium Prize Pool that you could get when you Vote. However, those items are within the Premium Prize Pool, and there are only 27 items within the Premium Prize Pool (and there are no repeat items) so you have a high probability of getting those items! And that probability only gets higher the sooner you sign up!

VIP Raffle FAQ

What is the Neopies VIP Raffle?
As part of the Neopies Closing Gala, the organisers have assembled a VIP Raffle to raise money for charity. Interested Neopians can buy a VIP Raffle Ticket Pack and use the tickets to pick up any bag of their choice from the ones displayed.

How does the VIP Raffle work?
After you buy a VIP Raffle ticket, you can choose to open any of the bags available and win the prize inside. Each bag contains a different prize.

Are the prizes in each bag fixed?
Yes, the prizes in each bag are fixed.

Will I get the same prize twice?
No, you will not get the same prize twice. But if you want more of a certain prize, you can purchase more tickets to reopen the bag it came from.

I only see a few bags to choose from. Will there be more options later on?
Yes, more bags will be added as the days pass, so you can return the next day for more options. There are seven bags in all.

How long will the Neopies VIP Raffle be available?
The VIP Raffle begins on February 21st, and raffle tickets will be available in the NC Mall until March 14th, 2025, 23:59:59 NST. However, you can come back to open bags until next year's VIP Raffle!
