Earlier today, many Premium users were reporting the Premium avatar randomly appearing on their drop down list of avatars. There were similar reports of the Premium Site Theme appearing in the selection of site themes. These were both part of the old Premium Referral program.


According to TNT staffmember Snarkie, the avatar will now be a "Premium Perk" granted when you pay for Premium membership.

Whoops. Okay, so, I believe the requirements for the avatar were changed so that everyone gets it when they become Premium. That's accurate. It is not, however, supposed to count as a secret one. And it did go live too early. (They were testing it and it went up by mistake.) We're fixing those last two!

She later posted the following regarding the Site Theme:

The theme will be released from its referral prison as well. All Premium folks will be able to use it. *happy dance*

What other new perks will the new Premium have? There are only a few more days to wait before the launch happens June 11th.
