Already the star of multiple games, Hannah took center stage in the Hannah and the Ice Caves plot in 2004. It started out with Hannah getting cursed in a Lost Desert ruin after being betrayed by a thief named Kanrik. Hannah escapes the ruin and follows the Thieves Guild to Terror Mountain, where Neopians are introduced to the Bori via Armin. Meanwhile, the Thieves Guild faces some internal turmoil over a power struggle for leadership, leading an ancient being called the Bringer of Night to be released onto the mountain. Kanrik and Hannah end up joining forces to bring down the Bringer of Night and protect the Heart of the Mountain.

In 2005, Maraqua made its triumphant return in the Curse of Maraqua plot. Garin, pirate captain of the Black Pawkeet, plundered a little too freely and earned the ire of Captain Scarblade of The Revenge. During their fight, Garin almost drowns, but is saved by Isca - a Maraquan Aisha with the ability to see visions of the future. Unfortunately, Isca's intervention landed New Maraqua in the crosshairs of Captain Scarblade, threatening the burgeoning city with destruction. With the help of our heroes and some Neopians, New Maraqua was successfully defended from pirates and stands to this day.
