What is the Soup Kitchen?Located in the Marketplace of Neopia Central, there is a kind-hearted faerie named The Soup Faerie. She provides free food to all Neopets in need in her Soup Kitchen. As long as a Neopian has fewer than 3,000 Neopoints, she is able to feed their Neopets until they can't eat anymore! Neopians must have less than 3,000 Neopoints between their shop till, what is in their bank account and what they are carrying to receive free food.
If you have less than 3,000 Neopoints between your bank account, shop till and what you are carrying, you'll be able to receive free food for your pets from the Soup Faerie in her Soup Kitchen:

If you don't have many Neopoints, you can always come to the Soup Kitchen to get free food for your pets. When your Neopet has been fed, they will share various responses of gratitude and their hunger will slowly improve.

If you have more than 3,000 Neopoints between your bank account, shop till and what is actively carried on hand, you will receive a message such as the following from the Soup Faerie:

Strategies
There are a couple of strategies that you can use to try to earn the avatar.
Trading Post
Create a series of trades on your side account and place the highest number of Neopoints from your main account. Keep creating trades until you have less than 3,000 NP in your bank account, Shop Till and on-hand. Trading Post can last for a few days. This will allow you to keep feeding your pets and randomly receive the avatar.
Beginners Luck
If you do have a new side account, start with this avatar first as you won't have a lot of Neopoints on-hand to begin with.

You can earn an avatar when feeding your pets in the Soup Kitchen. The avatar is random.
Soup Faerie
Feed your pets at the Soup Kitchen. Getting this avatar is random.
Tip: if you have too many Neopoints to be able to use the Soup Kitchen, offer all your Neopoints on trades that are
your own via a side account.
