It's that time of year when the Faeries come together to celebrate the annual Faerie Festival. In 2026, the Faerie Festival began September 15th and ends on September 28th.
This year, Luxinia and Iridesia is running the festival. As usual, the festivities include Faerie Quests, donation of excess items, and visiting Faerie-related dailies such as the Wheel of Excitement, TDMBGPOP and Soup Kitchen. In addition, there's now a ballot to vote for the new Faerie Council after donating at least 150 points worth of items.
Faerie Quests
Traditionally, Faerie Quests are one of the main activities of the Faerie Festival. In the past, all Faeries participated in giving and receiving Faerie Quests to Neopians to help up their pets' stats or given the opportunity to paint their pets in the Faerie Fountain.
This year, many Faeries are participating in the festival: Fire Faeries, Water Faeries, Light Faeries, Earth Faeries, Dark Faeries, Aethia the Battle Faerie, Iridesia the Rainbow Faerie, Naia the Fountain Faerie, and Sabrena the Tooth Faerie.
There will also be an opportunity to complete a bonus Faerie Quest with Luxinia. All of her quests are completing tasks from the mobile game, Neopets: Faerie Fragments.
Rerolling
As of September 24th, 2026, a new feature to reroll items was added to Faerie Quests as a part of the Faerie Festival. Due to items increasing in price during the event, you are able to reroll between 3 items per quest, per day.
Rerolls will only work on free daily Faerie Festival Faerie Quests, and related fortune cookies such as Faerie Quest Fortune Cookies and Deluxe Quest Fortune Cookies. Rerolls are not available when receiving a Random Event Faerie Quests or Delina's Crafting Quests.

Walkthrough
Luxinia and Iridesia are both working hard preparing for the Faerie Festival this year. After the year Neopia has been through with the Grey Curse and Void, both Faeries are excited to give back. It goes without saying that for the first time in many years, Fyora (self-dethroned) will not oversee the festivities. She does, however, ask for Luxinia and Iridesia to collaborate and vote on a Faerie Council with the help of Neopia.
Scene 1 - September 15th, 2026
Iridesia
Hello, there, and welcome to the Faerie Festival. It is my, um, honour to...
Iridesia
No, that's not right. I'm sorry, I've never had to do anything like this before. At least, not of this magnitude...
Luxinia
It's okay! I know you're nervous, but you're doing great, Iridesia. Deep breaths. In... out. In...
Iridesia
...Out. Whew. Thank you, Luxinia. I don't know what I'd do without you here.
Luxinia
Likewise. I know Fyora entrusted the Faerie Festival to us this year, but it's pretty nerve-wracking having so much resting on our shoulders. In a way, it feels even bigger than tackling the Void. Especially on top of... everything else.
Iridesia
That's right. It certainly is a lot of responsibility...
???
And you are both doing a splendid job.
Iridesia
Queen Fyora!
Fyora (Dethroned)
Ah-ah. I am no longer queen, remember?
Iridesia
Sorry, Your Ma— Umm... Fyora. I'm still having a hard time adjusting to speaking to you without a title. It's hard to imagine a Faerieland without you as Queen. Are you really sure you want to abdicate?
Fyora (Dethroned)
...I am. It is a hard feeling to describe, but I need to do this. I have been Queen for a very, very long time... and I believe it is time for a change. For both Faerieland... and for me.
Fyora (Dethroned)
For so many long years now, all I've known is my duty the throne. It can be easy to lose ourselves in our work, our responsibilities. If I am to ever take on the mantle of leadership once more someday, I must first remember who I was... who I am, without the weight of the crown consuming my every thought.
Fyora (Dethroned)
Even so, I would be lying if I said I wasn't worried... but I know Faerieland, and Neopia, will be in good hands. Especially once you've completed the task I set you both out to do.
Iridesia
You mean helping to choose the Faerie Council, right?
Fyora (Dethroned)
Exactly. You've done an excellent job gathering the candidates here already – and might I compliment you both on your nominees? There are some faces here I haven't seen in some time, and some I'd never have thought to ask without your advice.
Iridesia
Oh... it wasn't just us. We asked some of our other Faerie friends who they thought would make good leaders, and decided to add them to the list.
Fyora (Dethroned)
How wonderful! That gives me high hopes. The spirit of collaboration and togetherness is already with us, it seems.
Fyora (Dethroned)
I've put the future of Faerieland in good hands. And with that, it seems I must depart for the time being. There's much I still need to prepare before setting off.
Luxinia
Setting off?
???
...
Luxinia
She's gone... Oh, I wish she would stop doing that. She always makes such grand exits... and always right when I have the most questions!
Iridesia
I'm sure she's got a lot on her mind... and we've got a lot on our to-do list. I suppose we should start by explaining how the Faerie Festival will work this year...
Luxinia
Good point. We can get our answers later. In that case... *Ahem!*
Luxinia
This year's Faerie Festival is a momentous occasion! Our sisters all across Neopia have gathered for the sake of helping Faerieland...
Iridesia
...And we don't just mean in its restoration after Vocivus and Drakara decimated it. While all donations will go towards repairs, we're also looking to Faerieland's future.
Luxinia
That is, we're electing the members of the first-ever Faerie Council! If you reach a certain amount of donations in a day, we'll hand out a daily ballot that you can use to vote for one of the council candidates.
Iridesia
Speaking of the candidates, they've all gathered here for the festival. You should speak with them; I'm sure they'll be happy to tell you what they plan to do to help Faerieland, given the opportunity.
Luxinia
There are a total of six open seats on the Faerie Council, and you'll be able to earn one ballot per day, for a total of 13 votes. The six Faeries with the most votes will win a seat!
Iridesia
And then... Umm, actually, I think that's it. Is there anything else I'm forgetting, Luxinia?
Luxinia
Just how donating works! Every day, you can come visit us here at the Faerie Festival to drop off your unwanted items. We'll take up to 30 donations each day, and each donation is worth points that you can spend at the Prize Shop.
Iridesia
That's right, and the rarer the item, the more points it will earn you. Donating 30 items in one day will also earn you a special prize, and you can earn that prize every day you donate the maximum amount of items.
Iridesia
Whew... I really do think that's it, now.
Luxinia
Just about! The last thing on the list is to mention quests. That's right, you can visit the festival every day to get a Faerie Quest from one of our sisters. I've decided to join in on the fun, too, to help New Faerieland. So come visit me every day to get a special unique quest!
Luxinia
That should be it! If anything is still unclear, then we have an FAQ for you to check out as well.
Luxinia
And with that, the Faerie Festival is now... officially...
Iridesia
Open!
Luxinia
Thank you for visiting. We hope you enjoy the festivities!
Scene 2 - September 23rd, 2026
Iridesia
Whew... Things seem to be going well so far, I think.
Luxinia
I'd say so! I can tell you're worried though, Iridesia. And that it goes a little deeper than just overseeing the Faerie Festival...
Iridesia
...
Luxinia
You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to.
Iridesia
No, I... I guess I'm just not sure what Faerieland will look like in a few years' time. Or Neopia, for that matter. Fyora has been queen for as long as any of us can remember.
Iridesia
I understand the need to rediscover yourself, and I know Qu— er, Fyora has been taking everything that happened really hard. I know how she feels... So I don't want to stop her going on this journey.
Iridesia
But at the same time... Even though she may have made mistakes, we all have. And she always does the right thing in the end. I'm worried that the Faerie Council won't be enough to carry on that legacy.
Luxinia
...
Iridesia
Luxinia? Are you okay? Oh! S-sorry, did I upset you? I just meant that this is a big change, and I don't know if I... if Neopia is ready for...
Luxinia
It's not that. ...You know, in a lot of ways, when I woke up in New Faerieland, I felt the same as you do now. I was scared, uncertain... but I had Varia and my other friends to help me get through it all. As long as we have each other, and all the other Faeries, I'm sure things will work out!
Luxinia
Although...
Iridesia
Hm? What's wrong?
Luxinia
I wonder if maybe... Maybe we shouldn't limit the council to just a few Faeries. There are a lot of perspectives outside of Faerieland that could really broaden our horizons, too. Like Tavi, for instance. It might not be a bad idea to...
Iridesia
Luxinia?
Luxinia
Sorry, just thinking out loud. Introducing a Faerie Council is already a big change; we don't want to do too much too soon. But I think it's worth considering for the future.
Iridesia
...You might be right. And there's no reason the Council has to be permanent, or that the members have to stay the same year-in and year-out. We've got lots of room to grow and discover what works best for us, right?
Luxinia
Right! I... I think so, anyway.
Scene 3 - September 29th, 2026
Iridesia
Hello, everyone! Thank you for gathering here today. I know you are all eager to hear the results of the first ever Faerieland Council elections...
Luxinia
...And we have them right here! Iridesia and I counted all the votes over and over and over again, just to make sure, and the results are in.
Iridesia
The members of the Faerie Council are...
Luxinia
Umm... Jhudora.
Jhudora
Me? Pah! Don't be ridiculous! I told you all that I wouldn't come near your silly Faerie Council if I was chosen. Thanks, but no thanks. You'll have to play at self-importance without me. I'm going back to my bluff – and DON'T ask me to join again, or I'll hex you so badly you'll make Illusen's stupid little Mortog look pretty.
Luxinia
Oh... erm... I suppose Jhudora isn't going to be a member of the Faerie Council, then. Um... I guess we'll go with the next Faerie.
Iridesia
...Umm... It looks like that's... me?
Iridesia
Really? M-me? Oh, well, I... Thank you! I'm still not sure I'm the right Faerie for the job, but I know that it will take a lot to fix what's broken in Neopia. If I can do anything to help, and to bring some colour to Neopians that maybe need it... I'll do the best that I can.
Luxinia
Congratulations, Iridesia! I know you'll do an amazing job. Now, next up we have... Aethia!
Aethia
Thank you. Though Fyora's departure saddens me, I vow to do continue doing my best to defend Faerieland, and to carry on her wishes for a peaceful and prosperous Neopia.
Iridesia
Next we have... Illusen!
Illusen
Goodness, I never thought I would be in such a position. I left Faerieland long ago, but I will continue to uphold Fyora's faith in me, and will use all my experience and abilities to ensure peace not only for Faerieland, or Meridell, but for Neopia as a whole.
Luxinia
And now, Adelita!
Adelita
I never would have imagined being a part of a Faerie Council... But I will serve it with all the love and care that I do Neopets at the Soup Kitchen! And don't worry, I've mastered juggling multiple ingredients and cooking times all at once, so I'll be able to come and go from Faerieland to Neopia Central with ease. Now, who wants some soup to celebrate?
Iridesia
Next: Seshatia!
Seshatia
I'm honoured. I promise I will put my knowledge to good use in aiding Faerieland and all of Neopia. And I am officially waiving all late fees for library books henceforth!
Luxinia
And last but not least... Naia!
Naia
Thank you very much for allowing me a place on this council. I don't leave the Rainbow Fountain very often, but spending so much time there has let me hear the hopes and dreams of Neopets from all over the globe. I will do my best to honour their wishes and make Neopia a better place for everyone!
Luxinia
And with that, the Faerie Festival has come to a close! We would like to thank you all for...
Fyora (Dethroned)
Excellent job, you two. And congratulations to all the winners.
Iridesia
Fyora!
Fyora (Dethroned)
Ha ha! It seems you've finally gotten used to addressing me without a title. That makes me happy, Iridesia. It truly does.
Iridesia
...I'm glad. It still doesn't feel real, though... Do you really have to go?
Fyora (Dethroned)
...Yes. I know it's hard to say goodbye. I've said many goodbyes over the years myself, and it's never easy. But... I know that this goodbye will be followed by a 'hello' soon enough. Perhaps even sooner than you think.
Luxinia
Where will you go?
Fyora (Dethroned)
Oh... wherever I have to. There are things I must learn about myself. Things I must learn about Neopia. And many with whom I must make amends. Once I feel as though I have completed my journey... I will return. And I know it will be to a glorious, prosperous, open and honest Faerieland.
Fyora (Dethroned)
Thank you both for hosting the Faerie Festival, and for taking on such a massive responsibility. I hope you can forgive me for asking so much of you.
Fyora (Dethroned)
Now... I must bid you farewell. Faerieland is in capable hands – of that I have never been more certain. And it's all because of you, and the many Neopians who came to share in the festivities with us.
Fyora (Dethroned)
Goodbye, my friends. And may we meet again soon!
Luxinia
Goodbye, Fyora.
Iridesia
Goodbye...
???
...
Iridesia
*Sniff*...
Luxinia
Oh, Iridesia... it's okay. *Sniff*... This isn't forever. We'll all meet again.
Iridesia
Yes... you're right. For now, we still have much to do. We have to finish setting up the Council... and we need to close out the Faerie Festival!
Luxinia
That's right! Oh, in all this emotion, I nearly forgot why we were here in the first place.
Luxinia
Thank you, everyone! Thank you for all your donations, for helping us with our quests, and for voting for the Faerie Council!
Iridesia
To show our appreciation, I put together a small trophy for you. And there are still prizes to be claimed in the prize shop! They'll be around until next year's Faerie Festival, so take your time in choosing just the right prize.
Iridesia
And with that... the Faerie Festival has officially come to an end! Thank you again. We'll see you next year!
Recycling
Just like last year, the faeries use the Faerie Festival as a way to help clean up Neopia with a recycling program. You are able to recycle any items in your inventory. Points are earned for each item that you donate. Each item's rarity correlates to specific amount of points that can be earned. Points are cumulative and can be used to collect prizes. There is a limit of 300 points per day. Once the limit is reached, you cannot donate any more items for that day. This is different compared to previous years restricting you to only 10 items per day.
Item Rarity Points Receivable
| Item Rarity | Points |
|---|---|
| R1 – R79 | 3 Points |
| R80 – R89 | 5 Points |
| R90 – R97 | 8 Points |
| R98 – R100 | 6 Points (Sticky Snowball: 1 point) |
| R101 | 1 Point |
| R102 – R179 | 10 Points |
| R180 and up | Cannot be Donated |
When you donate items, you can select up to 30 items at a time. A coloured outline will appear around the item, indicating the item you've selected to donate. If what you've selected puts you above 300 points, a blurb will appear to give warning that any extra points will not count for the day. The top-left circle has a number, indicating the amount of points you'll earn for donating that item. You will be prompted to confirm your donation choices.

A blurb will appear when you go past 300 points when donating up to 30 items.
Once you've reached the daily point limit, you will receive a Faerie Donation Capsule. Opening the capsule will reward you with one item with rarities between r90 to r99. Premium Subscribers will also be given an extra prize.
Premium Bonus Items
Premium Subscribers receive a bonus item, once per day, when they donate. It is given during their first daily donation.

Faerie Council - Voting
As a continuation from The Void Within plot, Fyora enters self-dethroned and asked Iridesia and Luxinia to form a Faerie Council to lead Faerieland in her stead. The Faerie Council will be made up of six Faeries.
By donating at least 150 points each day, you can earn a ballot to vote for a Faerie to join the Faerie Council.
A pop-up will appear to state that you have a ballot and are able to vote for a Faerie for the Faerie Council.
Ballots do not appear in your inventory. You will just proceed to voting where you will find 15 Faeries nominated.

Faerie Pass
This year in 2026, two tracks, or passes, were added to the event. Aside from using recycling points for the prize shop, you can also obtain extra prizes as you collect more points. There is a free track for all to participate in called the Glimmer Pass, and there is a paid track for those who want to purchase (using real money) and earn even extra items during the event. You can purchase the Glimmer Pass in the NC Mall.
