Daily Dare

What is Daily Dare?
In previous years, Daily Dare has been hosted by Aristotle A. Avinroo, better known as AAA and his little sister Abigail. However, this year a returning participant, Chadley, has taken over Daily Dare and begun the challenges before AAA has returned from college. Daily Dare is an event where each day a game is chosen and you are able to choose between beating Chadley's score, which can be difficult to beat, or Abigail's score which is easier to beat. You get to decide each day if you want to challenge Chadley or Abigail for the different games. You can only challenge one of them for each game, so chose wisely!

If you want a prize, whichever opponent you challenge is the one you need to beat.

Winning Prizes
Of course, this event wouldn't be as awesome without the prizes. This challenge rewards you generously with different game related items. You can obtain a item prize each day by beating either opponent. Beating Chadley gets you a better item prize than from beating Abigail. Aside from that, the prizes are the same for everyone for each game. Everyone gets the same prizes though, depending on who you beat. Once you beat either opponent's scores, you have to manually go back to the main Daily Dare page to manually collect your reward. Simply click the little image of the giftbox adjacent to where the score you just beat is listed, and a prize will be rewarded to you. If you send a score and the gift is still faded and therefore you can't click it, you've done something wrong. Make sure you didn't forget to click the button to challenge either Chadley or Abigail for the day, and also make sure you sent the right score. At the end of the challenge, extra prizes are also awarded depending on the manner in which you completed the event.




Double Dare
Double Dare is a special challenge during Daily Dare. To take the Double Dare, you must challenge Chadley and match or beat his score. If you succeed, you'll receive Chadley's and Abigail's prizes for the day! If you fail, however, you'll receive nothing. There will be one or two double dares per week.


Trophies
Along with marvelous prizes, you can also get a trophy for participating. For 2016 the trophies look like this:

Gold � Beat AAA at each challenge. Silver � Complete all challenges before the end of Daily Dare, beating AAA at least once. Bronze � Beat Abigail at each challenge. Participant � Beat or match at least one AAA or Abigail score by the end of the event.

Mainly, your goal is to beat Chadley at everything so you can get the Gold Prize. If you can't beat his score for every game, beat him at least once so you can get silver.
In previous years you had to beat Abi and/or AAA to get the gold trophy, but in 2011 TNT decided that everyone should have the option to get the top prize.
From the Neopian Times Editorial:

The gold trophy will be awarded to players defeating AAA at all the challenges, regardless of the day on which it is done. This year, instead of having multiple trophies for such things as beating the challenges on their release days, there are bonus prizes each day for completing the challenge on the day it's released.

Remember to try to beat either Chadley or Abigail every day to earn the daily bonus prize of beating them on the day of the challenge.

Important Tip: If you're not sure if you can get the Chadley score, do not challenge either Abigail or Chadley right away. Play the game first and then if you do manage to get Chadley's score, minimize the game window, click the button to challenge him, and then send the score.

NC Mall Challenges
For the NC Mall Challenge Daily Dare 2016 Lulu is looking for what Chadley has been up to. She is writing what she finds in secret notes to Abigail with invisible ink that you need special glasses to read in Lulu Plays Detective. You can read all about Lulu Plays Detective in our Guide.


Team Challenge
For Team Challenges, pair up with a Neofriend and then challenge Chadley or Abigail together. You can both win an extra prize if you both defeat your opponent. To complete the Team Challenge, you'll need to visit the Team Challenge hub. Team Challenges will be made available each Friday through Sunday, beginning Friday. From the Team Challenge hub, follow the prompts to choose your opponent, pick your Neofriend partner, and send an invitation. You must challenge Chadley or Abigail from the Team Challenge hub in order to accept the Team Challenge. You might also be asked to accept an invitation from a Neofriend. Once you and your partner beat or match Chadley's or Abigail's score (depending upon whom each of you has agreed to challenge), you will be awarded a Team Challenge bonus prize in addition to the regular Chadley or Abigail prize for that day. You and your Neofriend will have to best Chadley's or Abigail's score prior to midnight the following Monday in order to qualify for the Team Challenge bonus prize. Tips for Wheeler's Wild Ride: At the very start of the game, hit the space bar to turn yourself around backwards. Then, use the left arrow key to rise up on one wheel. After you let go of the arrow key, you'll get 5 points for doing a wheelie. (You can get more points for holding the wheelie for longer.) Just keep doing wheelies over and over until time is about to run out. Once time is about to run out, hold the left arrow key down until you overbalance and crash. Crashing like this will cause you to lose only one coconut (as opposed to running out of time, which causes you to lose almost all your coconuts.) Your game is over when you lose all your coconuts. Just keep doing wheelies and then purposefully crashing right before time is about to run out. By doing this, you should be able to get Chadley's score long before you run out of coconuts.

Tips for Barf Boat: Focus on one petpet! The easiest petpet to focus on is whichever one is closest to the middle of the boat. Don't worry so much about the other petpets, especially the ones near the edge - if you try to save them, you'll end up losing all your petpets, and then it's game over. Avoid the cannonballs by jumping over them. The coins that pop out give a bonus of 30 points, but chasing after them is a bad idea that will probably get you killed. If the game won't start or is lagging, try playing on low quality and the smallest size.

Tips for Assignment 53: Pick up all Nerkmids and stomp all the enemies you come easily across, but don't risk your life to get every last one. Pay attention to those enemies that shoot projectiles, attack them after they have just fired.

Tips for Jubble Bubble: Always target the Jubbles before the dubloons or shells, which are the bonus items. You will lose a life if you do not catch the Jubbles. Whenever you have the chance, go for the dubloons. They are worth five times the amount of the shell bonus item, and more than twice as much as the Jubbles. It is actually easier to send the bubbles on up to the items and Jubbles the higher up they are! Shoot the bubbles up as high as possible. As soon as you fire one bubble, instantly begin charging up a second. If you have a break, swim to the middle so you are equidistant from both sides.

Tips for Cave Glider: Try to collect the bonuses, especially the health bonus as soon as you need it! Try not to crash into the walls! You will bounce off it and might lose control of Roxton or get stuck in a corner losing a great amount of health. It is safer colliding with a petpet, that will cost you some health but you won't be blown of course.

Tips for Revel Roundup: Pay attention to what items you need to collect. Don't pick up anything not on your list, or you will have to walk back to Anshu to drop it off. You will need to finish all three levels in time. Don't worry if you have to restart, it will take some luck to get a 'good' setup.

Tips for Hot Dog Hero: Use your condiments wisely. Draw very short lines and use the same paths over if you need to, it will save condiments. Ketchup is easiest to control, you walk normally on it. Use mustard when you need to go up (it's bouncy), it will speed you and may help complete the level faster. Mayo acts like glue, you can even walk upside down on mayo. Get the pickles when you reasonably can. Use the mouse to aim and spacebar to shoot pickles. Get the star bonuses and the hot dog bonus (Extra life) if possible. They are mostly not directly on your path to the door, but its worth to find them anyway. Shoot your enemies when needed, not only do they stop bothering you, you also get points for them. Get the refills for your mayo, ketchup and mustard, especially at the end of the level, you get bonus points for the amounts you have left.

Tips for Hungry Skeith: There are three kinds of jellies: red, blue and green. All the other things on the belt the Skeith can eat. The jellies give out the following points Red Jelly: 3 Blue Jelly: 5 Green Jelly: 6 Have your Buzz stand in the middle of the conveyor belt. If you stand to close to the Skeith, you won't have another chance to get the jellies when you miss them The first levels move slow. Use them to practise on moving fast already, since the belt will speed up on later levels. You use the spacebar to get the jellies from the belt, the up key to move the Buzz to the vats, the left and right arrow keys to get the right vat and again the spacebar to drop the jelly into the right vat. The faster you can do this, the better your chances at the game are. You can only make five mistakes (let the Skeith eat a jelly or drop a jelly in the wrong vat) during the whole game, so if you make one during the early levels, restart the game. You'll be needing those chances to go wrong during the higher levels, when the game speeds up.

Tips for Lost City Lanes: Play at lowest quality and smallest size, if the game lags. Fire your ball when the meter's in the red to get the best speed. During gameplay, you can use the arrow keys to collect items and avoid obstables.

Tips for The Usul Suspects: Use code lumiwatergun to get an extra life. Hold down the space bar to shoot. You don't have to tap repeatedly; just hold it down. Hold it down for the entire game- there's no reason NOT to be shooting at all times. To defeat the usuls, shoot their propeller caps or their guns before they reach the ground. Defeating them before they reach the ground gives you the most points, and also prevents the usuls from climbing up onto the platforms behind you. If you hit the usuls anywhere besides their caps or their guns, they will be temporarily stunned and unable to shoot you. This is one good reason for you to be shooting at all times. To get rid of the usuls on the platforms behind you, use the right arrow key to throw a bottle to them. If you don't do this quickly enough, they'll try to knock you down with a broom, which will cause you to lose a life. If you keep losing lives because you're getting shot by the usuls, then stop trying to aim your own shots so much, and just concentrate on dodging their shots. Since you're shooting at all times, you're bound to hit some usuls and get points. Don't forget to keep throwing bottles to the usuls on the platforms behind you while doing this.

Tips for Cooty Wars: Try to shoot the parachute of a Mootix when it as far down as possible on the first few levels. Aim to earn 7-10 points. In the later levels don't wait to shoot the Mootix, they drop so quickly you'll end up missing them Don't bother shooting the bugs flying by that give you bonus points unless you have a good amount of free time. The bugs are hard to hit, and you could miss a Mootix while you are trying to hit one of the little devils. Play on the largest screen size. This will make it easier for you to target the parachutes when they get smaller.

Tips for Mop 'n' Bop: Be sure to upgrade your mop. You'll get a new upgrade every time you finish a turn on the first four turn. You'll see a new upgrade is available when the mop icon at the top of the game turns orange. Press the SHIFT key to upgrade your mop (this gives you more points for every clean pet). Start with upgrading the mop, than the handle. Keep one finger on the mouse button and only release it when you have to hit a petpet. If you release it too early, the janitor gets angry and you'll loose time and need to recharge again. When facing two petpets close in a row, release your mop right after you've passed the first one, while the second one is still coming. You'll be able to clean them both at once in this way.

Tips for Tubular Kiko Racing: Avoid the whirlpools! Try to collect an umbrella to shield you from the arrows. You don't need to pass through all the checkpoints, though they boost you score and you should try to pass through them when you can, it's usually not worth risking a live for them. Shoot pearls at your enemies with the space bar. Use the left and right arrow keys to steer, pressing them both at the same time will make you go straight.

Tips for Kou-Jong: If you want to beat Chadley, you can play the game on medium or on hard. Being fast gives bonus points. If you don't have any more matching tiles, you can click reset without loosing earlier scores When clearing the tiles, try to clear the top tiles and those around the edges first. In this way, more other tiles will become free or available. The game will tell you when click and there are no more possible moves. If you can't find any and the game hasn't stopped yet, you can use the hint option twice to preview a move. Only use this when you really need it! Trying to remember how all the different tiles look will help you spotting the tiles you need more easily.

Tips for Chemistry for Beginners: Use the option to start to play from level 1. The first 5 levels are easy, and will help you to get the hang of the game and get you a lot of points as well. You can preview what elements you'll be getting in the next turn in the bar below. Make use of this to come up with a strategy which combos you'll be using. Try clearing the board, it'll give you 5 bonus points. Four red elements in a row will make the game explode! If you've got any reds that you can't use, don't place more than two in a row too close to each other. Take a look at your score. The moment you're about to get the required score, make one of the combos that give a small amount of points. For instance, if you've got 38 points and you need 40, make a combo with two green elements, which will give you one point. Then make a combo that's worth a larger amount of points to finish the level. The extra points you get (for example, 43 instead of 40) adds towards your score. Focus on making the combos that give the most points.
