Void Essence Collection

This activity began on June 27th and will last for the entire plot. The void essences appear across Neopian land maps and reward 5 plot points for each one collected. There are a total of 10 void essences per day to find. You can earn 50 points per day.

According to the FAQ, you cannot complete this (or any) activity on side accounts that rewards Neopoints or prizes. In addition, you won't be able to collect void essences on previous days if missed. If you collect at least 80% of the available essences within a week, you can get a bonus prize. There are also community goals that Neopians can work towards to earn extra special prizes, but in order to be eligible for these prizes, you must participate in collecting the void essence.

The Council of Leaders tasked Neopians to assist them by collecting Void Essences that are leaking from the void rift fracture all around Neopia. The story shares that Dr. Landelbrot will be conducting a vital scientific experiment to understand the rift by having Neopians collect the Void Essence. These essences appear across Neopian land maps and reward 5 plot points for each one collected. There are a total of 10 void essences per day to find.

Void Essence Collection

Hello Neopians! If I could please pry you away from your busy lives for but a moment, there is a vital scientific inquiry underway that requires your assistance. With your help, we could have the means to better understand this puzzling rift threatening to tear our sky asunder.

I only ask that you collect samples of the harmless detritus seeping from this fracture, which we’ve designated as void essence, wherever you can find them across Neopia. Based on the rate and trajectory that the rift is leaking residual energy, multiple conglomerations of void essence should appear across the same group of Neopian lands each day.

Bring me enough samples each week, and I shall have Scintilly here reward you with 5 Plot Points that can be spent on any number of unusual items we’ve found tumbling through the rift. As an additional token of appreciation for your efforts, we will also grant you a special prize from the eclectic collection Scintilly has amassed over years of oddities popping through our portal!

One final point on the matter- be sure to check all over Neopia if void essence seems scarce in the same lands as time passes. Conglomerations of void essence may start trickling into entirely new sets of lands as the rift expands over time!

Back to The Void Within Start Searching

You can see that void essences are scattered throughout the Neopian lands. The void essences are a strange glowing and dark purple blob, appearing on the maps of Neopian lands.

Click on the strange void essences found on specific maps to deliver it to Dr. Landelbrot. You will receive a popup stating you found one and received 5 plot points. The popup will let you know when you've found and collected all of the void essences for that day.

Weekly Bonus Prizes

If you managed to collect at least 80% of the required Void Essence within a week, you will be rewarded a bonus reward! You'll earn an extra 20 plot points and a random item. We are still collecting data, if we are missing an item then please contact us or NeoMail toe_bob to get it listed. We appreciate all the help we can get :)

If you collected the Void Essence for the first 5 days of the week, then you will unlock the bonus usually on Wednesdays. If you missed just one day, then you can still collect the bonus on the last day of that week, Thursday, assuming you collected at least 80% of that weeks' void essence.
